  1. Redemption. Of sorts. Wordle 1,076 5/6 ⬜🟩⬜⬜⬜ ⬜🟩⬜⬜⬜ ⬜🟩⬜⬜🟩 🟨🟩🟨⬜🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  2. I'm vying for second place. I can't even claim time pressure either as it took me well over 30 minutes not to do that.
  3. Fail Wordle 1,075 X/6 🟨⬜⬜⬜⬜ ⬜⬜🟨⬜⬜ ⬜🟩⬜🟨⬜ 🟨🟩⬜⬜⬜ ⬜🟩⬜🟨⬜ ⬜🟩⬜⬜⬜
  4. It's ok, everyone can stand down now, the question has been answered! Turns out that it was "Weirdo Camo clad twat's" Conspiracy Theories stuff again.
  5. Almost a piece of piss. I had a U, I and N on the second line. Wordle 1,074 4/6 ⬜🟨⬜🟨⬜ 🟨⬜🟨🟨⬜ ⬜🟩🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  6. No idea Bud, I'm not that interested in the bloke tbh, he does seem to be rather a parasite though. I know he's got a voracious appetite for Moon Bat stuff, but why do you feel such an allegiance to him?

  8. Nevermind 16 year olds, GB News and the other mouthpieces of Sir Paul Marshall have the potential for a far greater detrimental effect on UK democracy. The guy goes to the same evangelical church in the borough of Kensington and Chelsea as Russell Brand for heavens sake. He also owns UnHerd and very soon the Telegraph, if he gets his way. Move aside Murdoch. God help us!
  9. I reckon it's a case of the more wood you cut, and the longer you spend doing it; then the longer you can expect to live. It's a good way to stay fit and healthy for longer.

  11. I'd guess it was just used to brutally hack and chop at body parts. Not a pleasant thought. On the odd occasions I've tried it on wood I've found it quite awkward, the angle seems to be wrong. My grandfather was in the RAF in some capacity. I'll to ask my mum if she knows anything about the Kukris, or where he was stationed.
  12. I thought you were just giving us all the finger for some reason.

  14. Excuse my lack of knowledge here, but how come everyone seems to have a Kukri? I've got one, two actually, that I inherited from my grandfather. I never talked to him about them though, so didn't hear the history. Were they handed out to everyone in the Services as a matter of course?
  15. I much prefer the caulked handles too. I find the round section ones feel all wrong, much less directional control. I don't think caulked handles are expensive now @openspaceman Not much more than a fiver when I see them in agricultural suppliers normally. Made from decent Ash too, (not like a lot of tool handles these days, that feel like rubber and no doubt come from the other side of the world).

Yes, that's the kind of thing I need. Is that 15 or 22mm cu pipe? I figured that 15 would be too small, but maybe not.
  17. Wordle 1,069 5/6 ⬜⬜⬜🟨⬜ ⬜🟨⬜⬜🟨 🟩⬜🟩⬜⬜ 🟩⬜🟩⬜⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 I wasn't expecting that.

Yep, you can do what you want really, fit any size/kind of tank fitting, just depends what size hole you drill. Easy enough to do as water butts are polyprop. Also, need to be able to reach inside to access the locking nut. I've only used the 3/4" plastic taps as they are the same thread and diameter size as those that come with the butts, so no extra work.

Square profile of recycling bins is a more efficient use of space as well, like square plant pots. Yes, standard water butt taps are crap, useless if you're trying to do some serious watering. I've replaced mine with 1/2 turn 3/4" taps. Much better, it gushes out, almost as quick to fill as dunking the can. Still plastic though, so don't last that long. I'm on the hunt for a metal version, but no luck yet.
  20. Yes please to photos. I think you're talking about socketed handle fitting, but I'm not sure.

  23. I've rehandled a few Billhooks over the years, and don't recall one ever working loose. You drive the tang into the handle hard, (the collet helps to stop splitting), and then friction just seems to keep them in place. For balance; I've also seen some old hooks where the tang sticks out the end of the handle and has then been peened over against a washer.
  24. Crap. Wordle 1,068 X/6 🟨⬜⬜⬜⬜ ⬜🟨🟩🟨⬜ ⬜🟨🟩⬜🟨 🟨🟨🟩⬜⬜ ⬜⬜🟨🟨🟩 🟩⬜🟩⬜🟩 Threw away the last couple of lines, couldn't be arsed, didn't have the patience. 15 minutes is about the maximum time I can spend wrestling with a Wordle.
  25. If only I had the hips for it.
