  1. Agreed. I didnt mean to sound so negative. Certainly didnt mean to be a put down. As you just stated though, when dealing with the unknown you deliberated for hours, made countless phone calls etc etc. You Didnt post a thread on the internet saying you didnt have a clue what you were doing and could everyone on here do the hard work for you! I probably didnt mean to put "leave it to someone else" in hindsight. I agree with you entirely that advice and friendly help is why we are here so maybe it was just the way the opening post read that made me reply in the way I did. Apologies to Jack. Good luck with the Job mate. Could be a blinder if you pay your cards right:thumbup1: Are all the larch diseased??
  2. I clicked "post" by mistake before i had finished typing and had to edit it as it came across not as intended.
  3. Honestly??? Would you like us to tell you how much fuel and chain oil you are likely to go through aswell??? Only joking I would advise you to leave it to someone who does know what they are doing when it comes to quoting awkward jobs like that as you could very easily find yourself losing alot of money.
  4. I cant believe how many people mustve turned you down on the offer Mr Bullman to end up with them two. Haha Only Joking. I look forward to being moderated in the not so distance future as Monkeyd seems to have given up re-typing every thing I post. Keep up the good work all those that work behind the scenes in keeping some sense of order.
  5. So basically Mr Bullman has delegated even more work off his lazy ass so he can spend more time polishing his axe and then throwing it in a barbaric nature at a tree thinkng in his head that he is Conan the Barbarian. Haha.
  6. Frank

    Cord.

Ive got some aswell. Also bought it from Nod @ Treeworker. Really good stuff. I do know the name but Im going to keep you holding on for a bit just for fun. Haha.
  7. From a firewood merchant point view, you would want the wood that gets to less than 20%mc the quickest. For a faster turn around. Simples.
  8. Ditto, all of the above.
  9. Very nice, really enjoyed that. Thanks for sharing. Music choice was spot on.
  10. I always wondered if you planted mushrooms instead of shrubs in your back garden haha
  11. I would argue that TW's have faster stress control.
  12. Some really sound advice there Charlie. Posts like that make this forum what it should be.
  13. Good idea Rupe. I will run the northern division of your training outfit.
  14. I do know what you mean. I'm only on the wind up. There is no other industry like ours.Fact. We are the coolest cats.
  15. That makes it fulfilling and totally satisfying and may give you an enormous sense of well-being but does it make it COOL???
  16. I fail to see whats cool about sweating whilst covered in sawdust and chain oil getting cuts and bruises, dealing with annoying customers, paperwork coming out of every orrifice, etc etc etc. Only joking. I love my job.......... BUT....... I would rather be a Rockstar. Haha.
  17. @andy collins. Can you define cool?? You dinosaurs might have a slightly different context. Haha
  18. Simple, they wanted the very best. Haha. But they settled for us instead.
  19. Even better, tie two marlin spikes incase the weight of the rope somehow pops the first one. takes about 20 seconds but can save 20 minutes.
  20. Cheers Reg. T'was a cracking few days.
  21. Edit. I have never seen a Human run so fast. Haha.
  22. Yes Lyn it was Aberglasney. Do you know the place??
  23. Scaidopitys aka Big Ed aka Monster Munch aka Jeff aka Curry Monster aka Sexy Beast. Haha. Notice how out of 221 photos, I only picked the ones that made us look like we sort of knew what we were doing haha. I also left out all catalogue poses and deliberately didnt mention the tractor rolling down the hill with 2 tonne of logs in the trailer straight towards the Nissan Micra. Good times. Cutting trees is cool.
  24. Ditto the above comments. I love my poison Ivy, but that isnt to say you will. Get some in our hands before shelling out your hard earned.
  25. Yes mate, hard graft but really fun at the same time. Used all the kit in the bag apart from speedlining. Had near perfect weather aswell which was a surprise for Wales, considering the rest of the Uk were getting battered with gales and rain. Haha.
