i havent a clue who was in Borlänge, certainly wasnt dereks company global tree care, as we were all on that willow. and within 20minutes of Vällingby. ive only met one other tree company, small black transit connect, derek calls him randy, as he thinks he looks like randy from 'my name is earl' a Stockholm arbtalk get together sounds cool:thumbup1: a night out in old town maybe? bbq night in the woods? are you going to any of the competitions here?

the barks been damaged in the past, the damage area is now dead wood, and the fungus is jews ear, a dead wood saphoryte (spelling!)

dont use it in the wet, as it seems to make a perfect flower picture have spare batterys for the laptop if youre doing a few, or an inverter thing for the van to run the laptop from the ciggerete socket

cheers guys, tom, very happy mate:thumbup: and sweden is beautifull, norway was beautifull-er though:sneaky2: well it was hillier. rob, yeah, a bit of a quick, spur of the moment change of plan for this year to say the least! tobias, derek was on the ground aswell as will (young english guy) yesterday, doing the willow pictured, i dont know the name of the place, near a golf course, water right next to the tree. if that was the place you spoke to the groundy, then yes it was me up there! must meet up for an over priced pint sometime:thumbup: where are you from swe#kipp? we're in Vällingby, north of Stockholm central. and i think we might have heard a bit of helan går friday night, but my memorys a bit fuzzy of that night for some reason . . . nothing overly exicting for today, 2 small birch and 2 small pines for the morning, pizzera for lunch, then 3 70ft spruce for the afternoon, early finish too!

martin, if you can wait untill around the apf time you can borrow both from me. imo 660 wins every time husky doesnt compare. 30inch bar is great, i can use it all day long as can the saw, 25 is amazing. and 18 is when you want real fun! i'll give you a pm in the morning:thumbup: p-s wanna buy a husky?? haha

of course i am peter, because like lewis, i too am black, wealthy and banging a pussy cat doll:001_smile: i dont know about rules and regs here, i dont think there are any! apparantly its frowned upon by other tree workers(still havent seen another arb gang in 2 weeks!) was told this on the trial day, as the only critism the boss had to my climbing, although he said it was more of an observation, as i was confident and safe he had no problems with the methods i use

very vaild point simon arbclimber, its ironic you say cutting and holding is naughty, whilst full stretch is ok, as the only time i have been caught out was at full stretch! but that was in an exeptional circumstance. i could defend my work practises, but as simons mentioned, trainees may be reading and i wouldnt want them using unapproved techniques just because someone on a forum has planted the seed in their head that its ok. the way i use this method of work is safe FOR ME, lewis hamilton can take a f1 car round a track at 180mph, if i tried id certainly crash and burn, despite us both holding driving licences!

hi dave, sorry i havet replied to youre pm yet! working for Global Tree Care one of my best decisions in life so far. really need to get a camera over here, some of the trees are fantastic, youd love the oaks around! stevie, it did cross my mind, but cutting and chukkin into the garden in a stack was quicker than dragging it into the garden . . .did have a 40inch dia, 60ft oak pollard felled at 6ft to fit into a garden last week though, like i said, need a camera! cheers pete and moz!
