  7. Why when you tie a rope off to a stem then pass it through a crotch do you double the loading of the anchor point compared to loading both ends of a rope passed over the same crotch? Or tying the rope off to the crotch? I find it a hard concept to get my head around. Will

  10. Some people. Its horrible when you work to a high standard with care and consideration and then someone tries to discredit you. Did you speak to the neighbours before commencing the work? This usually helps keep them on side.

  13. Topping down strops are split tales used in rigging when your snatching bits out. 13mm is a bit thin I reckon.

  15. I work as a climber so don't get to do woods work to much but yea its hard work. Rewarding though. Id like to do more woods work, id also like to start up a nursery growing native trees of local provenance. Its finding the time to do it all that's tricky.

  16. My Friend lived there last year. I went up and made some shingles and did some coppicing. They do great food up there, lovely pizzas from the earth oven. Im owed a course for a days work I did up there, I will let you know what its like when I finally get round to sorting it out. I have seen some of things people have made there, really top stuff.

  18. I was a green tea drinker but Im on the coffee at the moment. Proper ground coffee made strong with added milk in the battered Thermos ready to go.

  20. XTC Fire is really nice. Its 13mm. I find it really supple. It seems really different to the XTC spearment rope, but they both seem to have the same specs. The fire seems to be suppler and faster (smoother).

  22. My mate got stuck with 2 fake 395s last year. He paid £200 each for them.
  23. I would still like to come. My partner Imogen is going to come to. We will be getting the train from Warminster.
  24. I love using the 346 its got amazing power for such a small saw. but its a bit aggressive to start. Our one is 6 months old and has already had to have a replacement part for the recoil starter.
