  7. Correct, and the pole is supporting one of the branches in the tree im anchored into.

I Went on holiday to france, took my kit to do some rec climbing at my parents place. one of there good friends over there had a sweet chestnut that has split in two, and wanted it removed, in i come. took around 4 hours to remove, would have been less if i had a bigger saw, and the stem would bloomin fall over. More to come....
