  3. its took me 2 years and 5 months and all thats bin done on thursday nites between 8-12. i will be glad when it goes round the track but im worryed about takin the first trip its a really funny feeling as iv drove miles on steam trains/traction engines but its the first one iv built i will get a vid of it next week end

  7. bee line works on Imori but gribs really hard iv tryed about 5 diffrent cords and Armor Prus 8mm works best thats what iv found out
  8. i think im going to stick with Sequioa sempivirens on the first pic i went to a nursery man to day and thats what he said it was but could not work out why it goes that brown tree 2 i thought maybe cupressus glabra pyrbmidalis but some of u have come up with some intresting names that i have looked in to and now im more comfused
  9. does the bark peal on Cupressus arizonica iv just looked some pic up on the net and to me it looks like it peals tree 2 the bark dont peal but the trunk looks the same
  10. and i think the 2nd one is cupressus glabra pyramidalis but not shore
  11. sequoia sempervirens thats what i thought and belive it to be but i could not work out why it goes that colour so the lady said its done that since shes lived there over 25 years

  13. went to a job this morning found this really intrestin tree at first i thought it was a big yew, then the woman come out and asked me what it was so i went to have a closer look so the lady said it goes that colour every winter before coming out green i just wondered if anyone wanted to have a stab at it

  16. iv tryed Ocean Polyester ,Yale Bee-Line, BEAL Regate , Lyros Herkules the bee line works good but for the knot i use it bits really hard if i sit on it for more the 20secs just makes it a sod when u want to take slack out of the rope Ocean Polyester i could not get on with it hope that helps u a bit more cheers martin
  17. buy a lenght of 4-5 diffrent cords mate have a play ur self thats the best way of finding out as u will go with what feels best for u the best one iv found so far is Armor Prus 8mm but i climb on Yale Imori and use a schwabish knot and works really well hope that helps a bit

  21. i dont rate the small timberwolf after usin one for half a day i would rather drag brush 200yard up a hill if i was near u i would come out for the day with the m-400 jo-beau but 3 hours up the road is a wee bit to far
