  1. sweetchest nut is nice never milled it but if i remember ROB D done a vid of him milling one and the wood had a nice colour and grain and lime iv always firewood but may have a look next time i get a bit of lime

  3. i will list what i enjoy milling as alec did opening the first cut up waiting to see the colour Walnut Oak Cherry Elm (old knoty bit is best) Acacia (if u can find a good bit ) and im not shore if u would call it a hard wood but shore big j will tell me i no its a hard wood to cut martin

  13. look at climbing ropes any of the advertisemants to the rite hand side of ur page fr jones honey brothers clarks tree worker etc friction cords (or spider jack) harness is what ever feels the best try before u buy and a flip line is a good start and throw line

  15. srt rope wrench really want to be looking at the 11-12mm rope that marlow rope with Liros should work well look at tree worker buy 4 diffrent friction cords and have a play best bet

  18. i was climbing on Yale Imori and had Armor Prus Cord on a knut steve b told me about soft v hard cord v rope he told me to use Roblon or Liros no problem after that
  19. super copper mate is what i fine best but depends what climbing line u have and friction cord u got steve b told me this if u have a soft climbing line use a hard friction cord and hard climbing line soft cord ent let me down and must say he was rite (cheers steve) if u have a soft climbing line and soft friction cord like i had dont matter what vt,copper,knut or hitch u climb on it will bit hard and can make a easy climb hard work so if we start with what climbing rope u have
  20. crank bearings seam ok mate cleaned them out need flywheel crank and gaskest i will get new gaskest set so what ever u can work out bud 024or 026 what ever u want to call it will be out with me tomorrow now runs sweet just swearing at that 046 again i blame josharb86 :sneaky2:
  21. after decideing to put this 372 on ebay the morning i put it all back together to get it ready to go this afternoon i decided to put a aftermarket crank in it never took a crank apart so thought i would give it a go (learn a bit more) so after 10 min talk with spud this is what iv ended up with cheers mate :thumbup1:
  22. once u start using it more it will not twist new ropes always twist
  23. i had a demo of one of these and i would still buy my jo-beau m400 everytime i will see if i can find a vid of it working bear with me
  24. lathes are fun as spud found out when he come to mine but its easy to mess somthing up like having a phone in the middle of the job and having to work out what u was doing:lol:
