  1. You never told me you came from Wester Hailes Jamie. And there's me letting you play with some of my kit.
  2. Nice job, doing anything with the wood?
  3. With all this kit theft, I thought I'd better be ready. Its actualy some coving we took out of the spare room, I am having serious dissagreements with the council on letting me dump at the council tip so things are a bit messy:blushing:
  4. I bought it new, for about 15.5k. Quite alot!! Its reverse drive btw. Still it has done some good work and powers the log splitter too, I'm thinking about getting a set of grass tyres and doing some mowing work with it if the treework goes slack.
  5. I'm very jealous of your roofmount, looks very handy. Mine's a BCS, about 50 horse, handy because it fits on a trailer behind the landy.

    Good climber?

Any one can climb high, thats just a question of balls. But its nice of you to say so. I reckon the key to being good is being organised and thinking about what you're going to do before you do it, planning your way round a dismantle before you leave the ground is a good start, picking lowering points and routes for rope, drop zones etc.

  10. I really should tidy up a bit, taken 2 mins ago with phone.
  11. Normally handballed, however where possible I'll take the little tractor. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QVtiN3tOBpM]YouTube - Little Tractor[/ame]

    Good climber?

I'm not actually sure, I have not really climbed allongside many others to compare myself with. I haven't broken much, and I've never found a tree I couldn't do, I've a friend who I think is faster than me at cut and chuck type work, but I've also seen a few climbers who are slower too. Speed isn't everything, nothing worse than a climber who flies round a tree leaving a big nest of brash at the bottom, then walks off and smokes while the poor groundies have to deal with it.

    Tachyon

You must be thinking of a different rope, tachyon is the lowest stretch rope I've come across. What were you using before?

  17. Still feeling rough even now:thumbdown:
  18. Nice one Rod, came out pretty good.
  19. The next get together sanny.:001_smile:
  20. I can't wait to see Rods video of the zip line, please post soon mate.
  21. I'd just like to say thanks to everyone who came, especially Gustharts and Willie Dobie for letting us use his land and hot tub. I didn't take any pictures on day 1 but here's a few from today.
  22. Gustharts will probably bring something, I have some you can try.
