  1. Stick also penetrates better for bigger stuff
  2. I think if he is working in Hampstead he will be subject more to "dribble" than drizzle
  3. I use mine for progress capture too ! Thats the only thing I have put it to use as. Rupe, progress capture is just putting the tail end of a 5:1 or any pulley system through so it's a one way system
  4. Stick welding is fairly easy on flat thick steel, a bit trickier on vertical welds and very difficult on thin inverted or vertical steel Mig is ok and easy but the metal has to be rust free and mig is good on thin stuff. But as has been mentioned, it needs to be in a damp free enviroment so the wire doesn't rust and can be expensive in maintainance for tips, linings, wire and gas. Go for stick if you are mainly welding thicker stuff like chassis profile on trailers etc
  5. I built my own garage, with no windows, cavity wall insulation, full underfloor dampproof membrane and plywooded the rafters before felting and slating. Then had an insulated door fitted. In other words it's built to housing standards and very efficient heat loss wise
  6. Did you see the smile on that blokes face when posing with steve, I reckon steves hand was on his butt cheek giving it a gentle squeeze
  7. I had the same problem and it turned out theres two ways of uploading, theres a normal way and a new way, it gives you the option somewhere to upload as standard and that works ok
  8. I haven't worn mine yet, they look that pretty I dont want to mucky them
  9. Boy am I glad I didn't go there, it would have been divorse city
  10. How was it specced Gary, 40% reduction in height or Crown reduce 40% ? Just fell the top out job done
  11. I charge for six hour days anyway so nothings changes, if they want eight hours it cost more
  12. Yes bob, but in a small garage they are ok I used to have them in my workshop, calor sent all the tools and lathe rusty and gave me headache
