  1. definately a first Rupe Firstly it's a helmet cam and our lass has just seen it and asked me what it was, how much it was, why I needed one and how come I can spend money and she can't............... Sound familiar guys? Pic in hand and a short vid of my office, lighting is poor in here and bear in mind the office is 11ft x 8ft. Picture is a bit dark but I haven't gone into finding out about settings or formats yet, will try a short vid tomorrow in daylight. [ame] [/ame]
  2. There's no software with it which I was suprised at but it's only video and any software will do. Got the discount rupe no problems there even on the accessory I got with it
  3. It probably was mixed too rich at 50:1 but I haven't got the bottle to mix it any leaner I know with stihl you can mix it richer with no ill effects
  4. Think I'm going to go back onto stihl two stroke oil, saw run ok had no problems with any except the MS170 oiling the exhaust up and I think the Husqy bad starting problem is down to carbon build up below the piston ring. So the piston ring may be sticking, it's nice and wet with oil with no wear or cylinder score at all. Going to clean everything up and go back onto stihl oil
  5. I never ring customers..unless they have rung me first If someone asks me to "ring there friend cos he wants some tree work doing" I tell them to tell them to ring me. IMO if they cant be bothered ringing, they're not the type of customer I want
  6. Clean air act 1993 I think they need an update
  7. I was under the impression that wood or logs are classed as a zero carbon fuel because it is renewable
  8. Why did he still have his harness on cutting up the butt Can't wait to get mine off once on the ground Waste of good milling timber though
  9. :congrats:I burn anything that fits through the door of my stove and it all burns well
  10. Actually I could be wrong, I saw a similar scene in a wood up scotland after a certain SWB had been through doing a bit of "thinning" Some serious stuff there John, glad everyones ok
  11. How embarrassing would that be if the papers find out the truth...... John Shutler let one rip and blamed the weather, nice one John, you fooled em this time
  12. What a good idea, you could just suspend a big unbrella type disc over the tree with the crane
  13. I've always found it much easier to save to the memory card and then just slot that into the sd card reader on the comp
  14. You could price in a GIANT marquee to put over the tree
  15. I use the Lockjack ALL the time, only thing I have found against it is controlling it when you leap from one branch to another it's not as controllable as the VT, found that out on a couple of climbing comps I have had the misfortune of attempting recently, thats my excuse anyway
  16. I thought it was only women who gave exactly the right amount at the till
  17. Nice one Joe I want one but I'm too tight
  18. If I had to climb in the rain all the time I'd get an office job, I like a bit of enjoyment in my life. If it rained for a month, I would have a month off
  19. Have you weighed and measured a manitou
  20. I hear what your saying but what if you hit a snag, weather turns out too windy on the day, car parked under the tree ? Do the crane companies stand it or does the tree firm
  21. I'll take some scales with me to Jonsies show next year if he has one and we can start the contest after midnight round the camp fire
  22. I know, what about sticking one to the wall and do a Big Daddy belly smash on it after 6 pints
