  1. Cheap too !!! Toyota Landcruiser 70 [ tradecarview ]
  2. Not having a go, but I would say him having 25 years + experience is far better a qualification than NPTC units
  3. What is wrong with a bloke wearing skirts ? What is wrong with wearing a rubber suit ? What is wrong with base jumping ? What is wrong with working in the rain ? What is wrong voting conservative ? The answer.........? Nothing !! Whatever floats your boat is what I say
  4. I cant believe you admitted to watching the one show Tom
  5. They will be just trying to sell you them because they will have the biggest mark up, profit margins in BF G's are tight
  6. Tight git 25% would be my limit Sean
  7. I,ve dropped a little on the diameter or aspect ratio so it is now slightly lower geared and my speedo is about 7% out by going onto 225/75R16 from 235/85R16 and the load rating easily gobbles the 3.5t gross
  8. Caution no road would have been more applicable
  9. One thing I have always done is treat my life as a business Income versus outgoings My biggest life business expense at the moment is a wife, a 19 year old daughter and a 17 year old daughter. My own personal overheads are very low
  10. I dont use diff lock, the vehicle is four wheel drive anyhow. For going downhill I use engine braking as much as possible which if the diff isn't in distributes the engine braking force very evenly to each tyre, I then just cover the brake pedal incase a little bit of additional braking is required If you lock diffs and have uneveness in tyre radius (as explained by B101uk) is forces a wheel to slip
  11. Debt is debt, it doesn't matter whether it is business or personal, "you" are the debtor.
  12. The difference is your tyres are mainly for vanity If you want fancy big alloys with silly little profile tyres on then thats your choice.. Just been out over the moors where the snow is very deep and the landrover is a different animal, I've thrown alsorts at them and haven't used the centre diff yet
  13. The biggest suprise to me was how quiet they are, no howl at all from them and they seem to soak up the impact of bumps and potholes really well, more of a spongy tyre in that respect.
  14. The BF Goodrich KM2's I had fitted are awesome. I've had many many different tyres and always lean toward aggressive Mud Terrains because I go off road a lot and deep into woodland The trouble with MT's is they are nearly always noisy and rubbish in the snow for side on or braking traction. The KM2s have performed better than any tyre I have ever had on are are as quiet as a normal tyre !! The Greenway Anacondas I have just taken off were horrendously noisy, so much so you couldn't hear the radio whilst on the motorway and people used to hear you coming from 30 miles away These are dear at £130 a corner fitted but by ek lad they're brill Mud-Terrain T/A KM2 | BFGoodrich Tires
  15. I used to have an Iveco van, I lived in the highest village in England so had snow tyres on 6 months of the year. With snow tyres and weight in the back it was awesome in the snow and in mild mud
  16. These will go well on an Iveco Tyres Dunlop Radial Rover RT - www.iTyre.com
  17. Try here in the LT section Tyres Dunlop Winter tyres - www.iTyre.com
  18. Never had any problem with my 300 starting, no heat required, even when really cold.
  19. I never use the glows in mine, just jump in and crank straight over
  20. I've grown three extra hairs on my chest to enable me to cope better with the cold, I have four now
  21. The freelander is awesome off road on the slippy stuff, where ground clearance isn't an issue.
  22. Darren 300Tdi's are excellent starters and start even without heater plugs If you have a slightly tired engine then heat will be needed First of all check the heater plugs are working then check that they get the full amperage of juice You can have voltage getting to the plugs but if theres a dodgey relay you may not get the ampage you need. Best way is to connect a charged battery directly to the heater plugs for 10 seconds then get someone to crank it whilst still holding the connection onto the plugs, this will illiminate any faulty relays etc If the plugs are fine and the current is flowing to them then I'd start on the fuel side of things, one thing landys are bad for is people pee'ing about with the injector pumps trying to get more power First of all undo the fuel supply to the injector pump and check fuel is being supplied "under pressure" if it is then I'd whip off the injector pump and stick it in for calibration. Ring us if you need
  23. I'll give you a grand for it Save yourself loads of hassle ??
