this gets pointed out every time, shock horror chainsaws for sale without need for funny handshake
Thumbs up for that mate!

It's strictly off topic but Strictly Come Dancing is back on. I'm strictly not a fan but my wife did it last year and I came to appreciate the talent, especially the pro women in their heels.
Anyway, Victoria Pendleton is on and I have never seen such a lucky gold dress!
I got into this last year, I'm not big into dancing or the such but found it quite entertaining last time. Obviously helps having fit women wearing next to nothing

Sorry not been here for a while.
No new liners.
Update is its gone back, i said I either wanted a replacement, a refund or for them to pay to send it off, they said they'll refund, have to say, presuming they refund, I'm impressed with the service.
The better news is I've now got a tophat 4.6 turner engine with 17,000 miles on it to go in

Couldnt put the video in for some reason so you'll have to copy and past

Here's a short vid of my Jo beau I took for someone who was interested in how it chipped, apologies for the shaky camera but trying to feed and film at the same time was awkward
-
unprofessional chip and be done:sneaky2:
Not been funny mate but not a very helpful post is it?

I've since looked on google and there's nothing saying you can't both on ea site and council site. I should add the customer is wanting to burn it, so I can just go and do the cutting
-
It's just out of interest really, there's the same brown markings up in the tree too.
-
Hi guys what's the rules on burning waste on site? I thought it was ok but a customer has said its not? I'm in Manchester if it makes any difference.

I have to say for Aldi to be selling these cheap chainsaws is a bit irresponsible. Look at the guy who got fined for using one on a ladder(idiot). How are they going to stop wasted A&E time without some sort of restriction. Aldi on the other hand are ONLY thinking about profit.
We think- what harm can it do- but chainsaws are serious dangerous and every accident puts more restriction pressure on us who need them as a working tool.
Someone on here said they asked H&S what percentage of chainsaw accidents were caused by professionals and H&S said they didn't keep separate records. I don't know how true that is but the last thing we want is full chainsaw protection suits:thumbdown::thumbdown:
Wasted a&e time? I think this is getting blown out of proportion here, how much a&e time do you thinks been taken up with chainsaw accidents?

i was gunna pop in and ask any and every question about the saw and if i should have ppe. then ask are they selling ppe etc etc. its only across the road im working on thursdays. lol be intresting to see what they have to say
To be fair the people working in aldi aren't going to have a clue about ppe etc. your better of giving aldi a grilling rather than some poor student on minimum wage

She's better at felling than some lads at work!

Well they've emailed offering the following free
STC4299 - Crankshaft Bearing
STC1426 - Big end bearing
ERR1782 - Stem oil seals
STC1961 - Cam shaft bearing
LKJ500020 - Inlet manifold gasket
ERR6733 - Exhuast manifold gasket
LVB500030 - Head gaske
My main concern is still the block here's some pics of sshallow scoring on them

Did you buy this as an individual or a business? It makes a huge difference. If it was a b2b sale you will not get any consumer rights as such although you can argue other matters through the courts etc.
Bought it as an individual.
-
You've had her in bits, why?
I would've said go for a full refund at minimum as it appears to be unfit for purpose; namely, that wouldn't last long before going bad!....
I originally just thought it was the cam bearings, and was gonna have them fitted and do some cleaning of the block too at the same time
-
Not sure what to do now, the cranks not bad but isn't perfect. Do I settle for bearings etc. rebuild it, but I'm worried then about liner problems wich these are prone to. Or do I fight them for a refund. Could do without this headache!
Aldi are doing chainsaws etc again
