  3. Hey chaps anyone come across this before ?? Mature Beech tree with no signs of stress or decay. May have some compaction issues on one side as its elevated tight on a tarmac road. Any opinions will be appreciated. Ta
  4. my tachyon is sliping bad through my new SJ but think its just glazed from a few years VT use. gonna try poison ivy soon as i miss my SJ but has been nice to be back on VT wit hitchclimber tricks

  9. if your throwline shot was'nt that great and your rope was set 1m or so from the branch union and your having trouble manipulating your rope back into the union. send a alpine up and rest it on the top side of the limb and see saw it back towards the main stem and it will encourage the rope to advance back to the main stem. also good for smashing small dead stups or small live epes for manipulating your rope. ask mark bolam. great trick, was shown it by a dutch guy called menno in NZ,works a treat. enjoy.

  13. hey matt scott mentioned it was supposed to be 10x by THE LAW but as we all know 3x is plenty although its quite common to see climbers with very short tails on their hitches.
  14. my 441 is smoking like a bitch at the mo. got a feeling or hope its just chain oil leaking on the manifold somewhere. anyone else had the same probs ???? chur chaps p.s. fuel mix is not too rich by the way.
  15. By the way of THE LAW your tails should be 10x in length of your hitch cord diameter i.e 10mm hitch cord should have 100mm length tails. for any1 that didnt know.
  16. that video has been sped up slowed down to make the climber look faster,the leaf movement isnt right and that tree is probably only 2 metres tall very nice mr glen,shame you didnt get forrest to film it from his angle. im still using my spiderjack but do miss the HC for sure but def fun learning all over again and it is a fantastic piece of gear. hope you are well bro
