  1. I think he had a moment! Yes he is still using the Uni and yes he is still splicing, producing some good gear as well.
  2. Muntjac can run through sheep fencing so the gaps have to be small!
  3. The only protection at Cowdry was the deer managers. You must have seen our large towers and seats?
  4. No problems mate! Orange netting will entangle deer and badgers will go straight through it and possibly tear down the posts. Human hair is ineffective as are products like retardine, diesel etc. It may work for a very short period but deer will eventually ignore it. What ever you choose good luck!
  5. I used to be an assistant stalker on viscount Cowdrays land, very nice! Plastic deer fencing is a nightmare, the larger species will get tangled in it and Fallow imparticular will eat it as they eat the strangest of things. Manage the deer manage the problem!
  6. Alternately I could come and do a deer impact assessment and manage the deer for you:biggrin: this will help greatly with your problem.
  7. Who is going to use this kit? I would not like to use it if i was not familiar with it! If it's for you you already have a rescue kit it's called your climbing gear. Your groundie should have a rescue ticket and kit.
  8. Lay the brash over the stools, this will give them some protection and allow the coppice to get above deer height dependent what species are present.
  9. A man in Cumbria has got the record, it's a hybrid Naga Morich, it's called the Naga Viper, over 100000 scoviles!
  10. When did trees unlimited pack up or move?
  11. Judge has a shop in Farsley.
  12. Loom winter sailing gloves, very good, lots of grip, neoprene backed. Only time will tell how long they last but a £11 odd they seem good value. My poundland gloves only last a couple of days so if these last a month they are well worth it!
  13. Yes with a chrony, 24" tube(shillen) Jim Borden action, Jewell trigger,McMillan stock, built by callum Ferguson, topped of with a PM II. Check Midway U.K, they sell the full range. Got mine from the states.
  14. Maximum of 140 grains, pushed with 46 grains of N160 2700fps Barnes TSX. Usualy 120 Grains TSX same powder, 3000fps. Shot everything with that bullet, all 6 species except CWD including huge Thetford Reds. I am going to try 100 grain Noslers. .243 is a good starter round and will take all species of deer but can be a bit harsh on meat damage with the wrong bullet!
  15. Depends what grain bullet and if you home load, Personaly not got a problem with mine!
  16. Yep that's him! Thanks!
  17. Do you mean Mr P? I am Working with PP tomorrow.
  18. Anybody know where to get one in the UK?
  19. 150m? That's a loooooooooong rope! How many trees do you climb that need 150m? If you work on the assumption of 33% per leg that still means having 50m legs.
  20. Can you give us some details?
  21. Looking to buy a splitter, any body know where the best place would be? Thanks in advance!
  22. Excellent bit of kit! I use mine on a looooong lanyard on my lower D rings on my Treemotion. Would not be without mine! Try Jonesie on here.
  23. I have one and its excellent! Wash with soap flakes, dries very quickly. I have not been wet wearing it!
