  1. It was late in the day yes 16” x 30” may not be as good for bigger round timber >16", however a 22” x 22” chipper is still only able to chip 1 piece of 14” diameter wood at a time ware as the 16” x 30” can do 2 bits at the same time, the logic of capacity depends on how you look at things! 16” x 30” = 1 x 16”, 2 x 15”, 2 x 14”, 2 x 13”, 2 x 12”, 2 x 11”, 3 x 10”, ~5 x 9”, ~6 x 8”, ~8 x 7” 22” x 22” = 1 x 16”, 1 x 15”, 1 x 14”, 1 x 13”, 2 x 12”, 4 x 11”, 4 x 10”, ~5 x 9”, ~5 x 8”, ~9 x 7”
  2. yes a mus-max MWF (MWEN) 16" x 30" (he chips a lot of wood waste for small saw mills etc) its on a hook lift body as he spec it to fit his hook lift trailer & trucks witch he uses for other things as well, they do come on a normal trailer if needed if you put 40m3+ of solid wood threw per hour your going to get a little bit of dust, however i would say that at the speed wood is turned to chip you don’t get much dust being ejected from the cyclone separator and I have seen a lot more dust coming from chippers ¼ of the size
  3. <3 miles up the road from me
  4. An acquaintance of mine’s little chipper

  8. Cool Steve. Mogstock 2008 is another one in Shropshire on Friday 16th May to Sunday 18th May 2008 at Buildwas Leisure, Telford, Shropshire. SEE: http://www.foodfight.org.uk/mogstock2008/ its a more off-road orientated as Buildwas Leisure has a large ish off road area, with on-site camping & toilets. There are plenty of trees of most shapes and size at the above site so recreational climbing or a little competition could be done for the climbing contingent outside of the above. There are plenty of food, fuel, shops etc within 3 miles being on the edge of Telford.
  9. what tyres/size are do you use? i like XZL's they work well
  10. yes i would rather drive that Suzuki than a HUMVEE

  13. Iveco’s are good, nothing wrong with them, not quite as good off-road ultimately vs. a like size/weight unimog or as adaptable with implements & machinery.
  14. hear is a U1300L ex military one being driven badly but it shows the "topheavy as it looks" is not the case, but the longer wheel base dose help. [ame] [/ame] near the end this one also shows the newer military UHN (U3000, U4000, U5000) on side slope. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHhMzCtAx0M[/ame] and some racing Unimog’s & MAN kat [ame] [/ame]
  15. err no, they (when unloaded) will happily go over the manufactures rated 38deg side slope though you tend to chicken out first especially if your on the down side! loaded is a different matter though, but like anything if you drive like a dickhead to fast momentum/weight shift will tip you over long before the static angle would my one has a basic weight of ~6100KG (~13445LB) and most of that is situated between the chassis rails beneath the lower edge of the door height apart from 6" of the block & the cylinder head, the unloaded static weight distribution is F:R 3400kg:2700kg (7494LB:5951LB) or ~60:40
  16. 1: stone for laying on a track. 2: away from home.

    Earthquake!!

DISASTER IN BURTON ON TRENT An Appeal For Your Help. A major earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale hit in the early hours of Wednesday morning. Epicentre: Burton on Trent, England. News of the disaster was swiftly carried abroad by the towns 35,000 racing pigeons,as victims were seen wandering around aimlessly muttering "Fookinhell" and "Choofinnorah". The earthquake decimated the town causing £30 worth of damage. Several priceless collections of mementos from the Balearics Isles and the Spanish Costas were damaged beyond repair. Three areas of historical burnt out cars were disturbed. Many locals were awoken well before their Giro's arrived. Radio Burton reported that hundreds of residents were confused and bewildered, still trying to come to terms with the fact that something interesting had happened in Burton. One resident,15 year old mother of 3, Tracy Sharon Braithwaite said, "It was such a shock, my little Chardonnay-Madonna came running into my bedroom crying. The twins, Tyler-Morgan and Megan-Storm slept through it all. I was still shaking when I was watching Jeremy Kyle the next morning". Locals were determined not to be bowed as looting, muggings and car crime carried on as normal. So far the British Red Cross has managed to ship 4000 crates of Sunny Delight to the area to relieve the suffering of stricken locals. Rescue workers searching through the rubble have found large quantities of personal belongings including benefit books, jewellery from Elizabeth Duke at Argos and bone china from Pound stretcher. CAN YOU HELP? Please respond generously to our appeal for food and clothing for the victims of this disaster. Clothing is needed most of all, especially - Fila or Burberry baseball caps - Kappa tracksuit tops ( His or Hers ) - Shell suits ( Female ) - White sports socks - Rockfort boots or any other product sold in Primark Culturally sensitive food parcels are harder to put together, but your efforts will make a difference. Microwave meals, tinned baked beans, ice cream and cans of colt 45 or special brew are ideal. Please do not give anything that requires peeling. Remember - 22p buys a Biro for filling in compensation claims - £2 buys chips, crisps and a blue fizzy drink for a family of 9 - £5 will buy a packet of Benson and Hedges and a lighter to calm a child's nerves Urgently Required: Tinned Whippet food and bones for Jack Russels. Please do not send tents for shelter. The sight of such posh housing will cause discontent in the surrounding South Derbyshire communities.

    Earthquake!!

I felt it just and if I wasn’t on my PC chair with a slight wobble from the unlevel floor I probably wouldn’t have felt it as it was that slight and slow at about 1.2hz. for 15 to 20 sec
  22. I have removed the url's and other bits of info and used "x & #" ware need be as it will still be a reminder! could do with a free porta loo, i wander ware i could find one?
  23. just trying an make a point to show how info can be misused by “some” its always as well to show an e.g. that everyone can relate to in essence to show it rather than just say it, it only took 15mins of time & I don’t know him or have a clue who he is and I don’t know the area!
  24. igottacabstar can you unquote my post from yours so after pecontools has seen it i can edit my post to remove the url's and other info
  25. Mm You know guys some of the people who steel stuff are quite intelligent, if they were looking to steel chippers etc, they would be wise enough to come to forums like this to dig information witch would be easy enough to find. Take “pecontools” D A Lofthouse Tree Surgery edit: xxxxx xxxxx, xxxxxxxx Bank, xxxxxxxxx, West Yorkshire, xx# #xx D A LOFTHOUSE + xxxxxxx x LOFTHOUSE live at the above address (Electoral Roll 2002 - 2006 & Electoral Roll 2007 - 2008) Take the image at edit: url removed We have the “proper" Car in the background” A white lwb 4x4 & what looks to be a red/orange 4x4 tractor with a white roof with what looks to be an access platform in front of it, is this a satellite image of your house? edit: url removed Take statements like “My yard is exactly #50m away from my house with no power supply, more or less line of site but with loads of houses in the way.” Would your yard be on the western end of edit: xxxx xxxx? Could this be your 3 bay shed before it had a roof and sides on & the blue shipping containers by the side? edit: url removed As its #50m away from the above house and would have up-hill LOS with some houses in the way! Just need 1 balaclava, 1 pare of rubber gloves, 1 wide band rx/tx jammer, and my gas axe! (joke) Anyway regardless if I am right or wrong it should get you & or other people to think about what they are saying & the info they give out!!!!!
