  1. I have one of the first batch of RRPro’s from Treestuff. I have never heard of that noise or heard of anyone else with that problem. I will keep an eye on mine and if you find out what it is then let us know. I have had the bird go stiff after climbing repeated sloppy lime trees in the rain. Quick blast through the dishwasher and lube with some light oil and it has been good to go.
  2. Managed to bag a Charlie last weekend at the shooting ground.
  3. It seems for me, anything less than a four is down to luck. 4 guesses seems to be my average. Or I blank out. Wordle 1,232 4/6 ⬛⬛⬛⬛🟩 🟩⬛⬛⬛🟩 🟩⬛🟩⬛🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩

  11. Very true. But that isn’t new, it is home made. I climbed on and made my own bits and pieces for years. Just climb safe and don’t get in a position where someone questions the quality or equipment you’re using. Or better still. Just switch to SRT and never have to worry about such stuff again. p.s. Don’t use what you have made on a Friday afternoon. If there is even a 1% chance of it getting stuck - it will on a Friday arvo.
  12. Lovely autumnal walk today with the mutt.
  13. Marlow Gecko is 16 strand IIRC. So is this gonna be used for climbing commercially? I don’t know where you are in the industry. If climbing commercially then the friction save you spliced might/will not be LOLER’able. The fact you thought Marlow Gecko was double braid would make me question the quality of the DB spliced on the friction saver. Don’t get me wrong, I am far from a ‘Climbing kit Gestapo’. But there is a reason why things like the multisaver cost as much as they retail for. Development, Certification and manufacturing costs. If it’s just for rec climbing then crack on.

  15. I think the whole point of the SRT version of this harness is the central attachment point is for the croll or similar and used in a traditional SRT Acces system, Microfrog or ascending with Jumars. Be it caving or access to the canopy via SRT. Most treework SRT systems work well off the traditional work attachment in the bridge.

  18. Removal of two ash tree showing signed of die back. nice place to work by the river and thankfully the Kommune tree officer in charge granted removal even though it was a protected nature area. Easy enough work, a bit muddy and the tracked chipper didn’t get stuck 😜
  19. Nice climbing. Where are the trees and what language are you speaking?
