  1. Its a financial hole, who was Tony's chancellor?????
  2. I was impressed with that too, nice to not have some one telling us all the great things they are going to do (and the not producing). He talked about us all trying to make things better.
  3. Yes we are in a VERY deep hole, thats going to be very painful to get out of:thumbdown:
  4. I won't miss Madelson, Campbell, etc and all the other unelected tossers telling us all how things should be done.
  5. I can remember Gordon telling us he had killed "boom and bust" and the fact that he has been spending £4 for every £3 of tax revenue!!
  6. Whats wrong with that?? If I'm going out my Mrs put my clothes on the bed, so I know what too wear:001_smile:.
  7. If you had real northern winds like us, that would not work.
  8. Real shame he did not go on Friday, he has just looked sneaky and desperate for the last few days. Nick is not as powerful now as he was a few hours ago.
  9. Why did you not move round the stem, so the wind was on your back??
  10. The £2/£2.50 price should be for removing no arisings. Plus you would be at great risk of hitting services.
  11. I tend to use stumpbusters for big grinding jobs.
  12. True, but the clean wood is not really much of a problem, its the stones and crap round the edges that cause the problems so bigger stumps are better for this, plus every body gets discount for bulk orders:001_smile:
  13. No I think some think the anvil to be the blade housing, so part of the flywheel.
  14. With you now John. Yes if some metal had been removed from any thing on the fly wheel, it would become unbalanced and that would be very bad!!
  15. There can be very few cutters around today who have your breadth of experience Mike!! Thanks for taking the time to share mate, it really is appreciated!!!!
  16. The anvil or anvils (as some chipper have more than one) are the replaceable parts of the in feed housing of the chipper, which the blades cut against (with out actually touching them) How else are they perceived?? Not being arsey, just interested:001_smile:
  17. The anvil is fixed too the housing, so how can it become "unbalanced"?
  18. I had a small one in our last home, it was very, very good!!!!!!
