  1. I rembered it as usaul. My great grandad gassed in WW1 ,my mates from JNBCR serving in Kuwait and Iraq and to all soldiers who put there lives on the line for freedom..i salute you all lads. There were lads at work talking yesterday at 11...i could have decked them for their lack off respect:mad1: war should be the last resort for anything!
  2. Too much manure/nitrogen will burn it, like zenfordinner wrote. if you got any old yew leaves use that too.

  4. Just wanted to say thanks for the ariel rescue training on wednesday. Mutley was very good and training and instruction was spot on. I learnt so much from him in one day, great training with BTS...thanks:001_smile:. Sorry i did not have time to chat with you thou.

  7. avoid heavy clay soils , plant in calcerous soils in full sun. The purple leaves devopl beter in full sun. the fruit on copper beech is reddish , best specimens are grafts according to Collins tree guide John. Dont think there to tolerant off pollution either. Hope this helps John.

  9. pulling with both hands Rupe, but i think my right does a bit more more than my left. Im sticking with what i know at the moment , when im ready il get a more up todate way of climbing. Lot of mates climb with pulleys and slack tenders..might try that one day. All coments on my climbing technique is appreicated lads.

  11. i agree Dean, i wanted to go on the last one but couldnt make it, im always looking to learn from you more experinced pepole on here. i still got a lot to learn.
  12. gloves do help. the only problem i get with gloves is that they can get caught in the friction hitch when i advance it. But i got those cheap gardning gloves...want to get some fingerless tree climbers gloves.
  13. i pulled my hip muscle last week, just got the missus to rub deep heat in , took ibruprofen and went to work, when i got up the tree i was fine. im the other side of 30 too, but stubborn and will rit my teeth and get on with it...good old army training..stop moaning and carrying on.

  17. Thanks guys. Hot soapy water it is , and graphite powder for afterwards. does my partner count as a groundie then, she can do it whilst i have a brew.
  18. can anyone tell me best way to clean karbs and steel core flip line. They got covered in green mush from a sycamore job..it was a bit wet friday. thanks.

Dont think your mad at all david. you probably all think i am thou...but heh it takes all sorts in this world. its my beleif in after life, becoming something else....maybe come back as cheryl coles underwear.
