  3. i understand Ian, i ment it looked like he was anchored out from the trunk. it looked like he was anchored to a limb above him. I can just make out a redirect now that you piont it out peter..its hard to see witht the backlight.
  4. my thoughts to Dean. would have gone through a redirect attached to a higher branch next to the trunk. What college is this in Winchester Ian?

Forgetting to tell groundie to confirm he had made 999 call to many words on the 3 man belay rescue, keep them short and to the point mixed my final anchor up , got it wrong way round in the cambuim saver, changed it. did not know correct angle for a ladder in tree work:1 in 4 i was told

  10. Think its even more vital to stretch and warm up in winter, your muscles dont contract as well in the cold and your more likley to pull a ligament or tear a muscle.

  13. :001_smile:PASSED!! Picked up a few minor faults..took a while to estabalish my final anchor piont and could have planned my route up the tree better but nothing critical. Arborcop was my assessor which was nice didnt know that..before anyone says their was no preferential treatment because it was him...cheers kevin. Glad its over...tree was a bugger had to climb it like a corkscrew. NEED BEER!!!
  14. ..or maybe ti chi Tully on the clients lawn. i think i should warm up and stretch because 9/10 after tree work i do get muscle soreness.

  18. they already do for some...the govermant pays chavs and obese pepole to go to their local gym courstey off the tax payer Skyhuck.
  19. seems so far most of us dont.. it makes sense thou...would we have a gym work out or do something else pyhsicaly demanding and not do it. I know from my little expereince in tree work that time is important. when you get to a job do you have time to do or do you just look silly doing it in a clients garden looking as if your doing the jane fonda workout:001_tongue:
  20. Just the night Mister T..not 3 nights running then...ouch!
  21. hi everyone, After reading in the AA good guide to climbing it mentions warming up before climbing a tree so as to prevent muscular and skelatol injury. Just wonered how many off you do it and wether it helps or not?
