  1. Bergen Norway. The exchange rate is £62.94 pH because the kroner is low right now. Early last year it would have been about £85 sn hour gross. If your keen and experienced send me your number and I will pass it on.
  2. Mick covered it. If you stopped 100 folk in the street,95 of them could do your job.Its common sense and low risk. That's why the pay is low. On the other end of the scale crew on a Red crab boat in the Arctic Ocean make about £5000 a week over a two month season. Common sense job but very high risk. The latter option is available to you after just a one week course and a medical certificate. Time for a change mate?
  3. Put a longer bar on it.
  4. There is a job going for a faller in a heli-logging crew over here at the moment. If anyone has the minerals and is looking to relocate. Good money but steeper than a witches face
  5. Are you interested in the job? Because motivated ,interest persons would be able to find the answers to your questions quite quickly. Besides,if the applicant was required to speak German, why would the advertisement be written in English?
  6. Is your arse smarting? Because I have literally spanked it. You should stick to the topics you are familiar with Andy.
  7. There just aren't any shops . I tried last Christmas I ended up going right out in the sticks, there was a Husky pro shop that was geared towards electric stuff in one of the major shopping centers .
  8. So you have no experience of living in Sweden and have never lived there or visited Malmo. Relying instead on what you read via sources that align with your view of the world. Try buying a Husqvarna chainsaw in Stockholm, the capital city in the very country they are made in. You can't because nobody sells them.
  9. How long did you live in Sweden for Andy, did you do alot of milling when you were there? I know Josh must have lived there for well over a decade, speaks the language has a son with a Swede in his second house, built a big shed with the timber produced from his own mill.Mills for other people too. Where abouts did you live in Sweden, what was your favourite part of the country?
  10. Bloke doesn't have a machine though does he? The more you move stuff the less profit you make, blokey is there to cut rings and he can only use the gear onsite.
  11. Can you not just ring up on that stack? Then push the rounds off with the telehandler?
  12. This sort of thing has definitely been more prevalent this year. Especially on the bigger jobs.
  13. Speak for yourself you absolute minstrel.
  14. Can you tell my skin colour from text? Amazing.
  15. But if she has lived in the UK all her life ,why not get a UK passport? Bloody foreigners all want it their own way.
  16. UK immigration law is not piss weak. My Grand Father flew a Hurricane in the battle of Britain and me, his Grandson a New Zealander gets the 9th degree each time I visit the UK....
  17. Pretty hard to do as you are selling a job. 20% of turnover 50% of one years profit Trade price on all the kit. This is what I was looking at a few years ago. If you really want it gone, talk directly to some local companies on what they might be prepared to pay.Its a hard conversation to have, especially when someone will gain a percentage of your market share for free if no one buys your outfit.
  18. I really like the bike, although as its my first propper bike I dont have much to compare it to. I would like a wider seat because it hurts my arse, handlebar risers and lowered pegs. All of the above only really comes into play on long rides, not blatting about locally which is what I do the most of.
  19. Did 8 hours on this today. From one side of Norway to the other.
  20. Result!
  21. Option 1 It wont likely die from your intended works, take the money and move on to the next job.
  22. Thing is, if its just locals in a scenic place. They leave because of shite wages as only locals live there. Scenery and job prospects seldom go hand in hand.
  23. Best thing about working in NZ ,will be gaining the contacts to move to Aus in order to earn twice as much. Tree work in NZ is a mugs game frankly.
  24. Every now and again a saw comes along that is just perfect for its role,in the past they were in my opinion. 020T 026 044 066 I think that today the 400 is the 044 of old.Its just a cracking saw that fill's its role perfectly.I hardly ever use my 500 or 441s any more.I felt that the 500 was a solution looking for a problem,to big to be really flicky and to small to run a propper bar on.
  25. Least he hadn't used any " David Brown!". Oh is that my coat?
