  1. Tub , cube or pizza box is the way to go. The problem with the foldable cube ( Falteimer & Co ) is the actual folding of it .
  2. Probably the best way , is buy same thick stiff throw line and use a big shot . No messing around and almost anybody can use a big shot.
  3. Anchor hitch with a slip.
  4. Sorry , i didn't make that clear i was referring to the stein throw line products. The 1.5 mm being the best seller of the two.
  5. I didn't like using the yellow stein throw line , for the first few weeks it was brilliant until the coating wore off . So i thought the two in one would be good solution and I'm quite satisfied. Having said that , i've been told everyone buys the pink stein throw line. But still , i like being able to break the stuff if need be.
  6. If the throw line is twisted or kinky , i find using a Munter hitch smooths things out well.
  7. Mind you , nothing's perfect
  8. My current throw line setup , is a two in one. Using the stein 1.8 mm yellow line and splicing with this stuff 2 mm polypropylene line which is quite stiff. For me it's the best of both worlds , one side strong and static for pulling ropes up and the throwing end weak enough too break if need be. Here's some pictures for throw line splicing. Splicing a 2 mm line into a 1.8 mm line helps if you use a fid of some kind Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk
  9. I hope not , i need bloody good shave .
  10. I think i'll try the protos helmet for fitting and back of head protection.
  11. I fell backwards with force , the helmet hit first but at the same time it was pushed forwards. So it ended up looking like this
  12. Bonny pictures Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk
  13. Try and keep your wrists warm , makes all the difference.

  15. No problem , more of a shock than anything.
  16. It looks like a good device. [ame] [/ame]
  17. The helmet seems ok
  18. Freezing temperature here in Berlin today , warmed my fingers using the exhaust from the 200 t . You Can't do that with your battery models.
  19. After 22 years wearing these helmets , today was the first time it saved me from serious injury. I was pulling on a rope when suddenly something give way sending me backwards smacking my head of the pavement . I even wear a helmet for cycling having lost a friend due to a cycling accident. Stay safe and use your Protective clothing.
  20. Strange , what dark magic is going on here. Mick Dempsey posted a answer but it's already gone.
  21. Difficult to tell from the photos , but most of my customers would want more taken out.
  22. It's got go faster stripes on it.
  23. How's this [ame] [/ame]I usually have three or four sharp chains with me which can be quickly changed. I knew somebody who carried a black and decker workmate in their van for sharpening and maintenance .
