  2. lacked a decent climber who had actually climbed!!! a bloke i went college with who has no experience in day o day climbing and general arb work now teaches there!!!!!! absolutly barmy!!!
  3. ive had a little problem for a few weeks now, i keep getting pins and needles and dead hands and arms during the night when i relax, im pretty sure this is due to using chainsaws and climbing everyday, does any one else have the same problem? its pretty crappy when you wake up and need the loo and both arms are dead!!! feel like a slug!!!!
  4. ok there are that many diffent name out there folk just get confused, that split level bollx isnt any good on anything above 4 inches i dont think, never used it and never will, sooner put a turfer or a tractor on it and have a wide gob and plenty of hinge!!
  5. snap-on digital:scared: my boss just got one, we aint allowed to touch his snap-on tools tho
  6. is a bore cut not where youhave to fell a tree 1.5 times the size of the guide bar? and bore in the side and sweep around the back, you can also do the same on 2.5times the size i think where you bore into the mouth creating cut wood in the back because the bar will not go straight through and do a sweep around the back..
  7. do you think this would pull it???? lmao
  8. i forgot to say i want a 18'' bar on it too, i used to have a 357 at the last company i was at and it kicked ass, never broke or let me down, had plenty of grunt on the bigger stuff as well, think i may go for a 357 and get all flashy and get heated handles for the winter!
  9. well rip all the way thru sounds a little too hardcore:bongsmi:
  10. more of one i dont like from customers.... ''can you just.........'' reply ''yeah 50quid cash''
  11. are you gonna kill the trousers and boots while there on a mannaquinn(cant spell) and see how easy it would be to actually penetrate all the way through?
  12. the husqy is cheaper but i now fancy the stihl, whats the pros and cons, the 357 is slightly less powerful but has a heated handle and also weigh a little less........
  13. green and orange looks good on a white tranny..
  14. carrot stick?!?!?!?!?!?!?! i have to eat shed loads and am hungry at the end of the day, im a little worried tho that when i stop climbing ill still eat the same amount!!!!! would be a disaster!! i find sometimes a good breakie cob does the job!!! not very healthy but does the trick, i try to limit when i eat, breakfast, elevens dinner and if there is somet left for the way home then bonus!!! but sometimes when you feel hungry you are actually thirsty so lots of fluids is a key too
  15. thats a good price, i guy i sub for pays 7quid a set!!!
  16. deffinatly pete, untill them there heavens open and all you have is a tshirt on, even burning your prussic out to get down to the cab still cant help you, funny to watch tho
  17. and use their toilet roll in times of desperate meassures:icon14:
  18. on a similar note my uncle used to do some winching work on beech trees, he put small cuts in and ripped them apart so they were left with huge cracks and rips, in fact if you go on the big tree walk in the new forsest there is one example there, i think this kinda work deffinatly has its place and deffinatly doesnt belong in public areas as its just incouraging disease..
  19. just get a tractor licence and you can tow tens of tonnes no problem!!!
  20. you never use your own fuel on principal:) you should even get the tea poured for you hehehe
  21. he must be blond!!!!!! nice one mat:drunk:
  22. i dont see how you can define break times, some days there are lots of quick breaks and some days there are none!!!! all depends if you want to/have to get done, i generally get to the yard at 7:15 and finish between 3 and 6, but we work it so its 4:30 most days:proud:
  23. well today i was sent to a large walnut with 1 groundie, 1 bt line, a delicate shed, a glass house, a treliaced fence, the whole of the larger side had to be lowered and as most of you lot will know lowereing walnut trying not to damage fresh growth points is a nightmare!!!!!! oh and there was a huge drag(see the picture) and a hedge to chuck it over!!!!! 5 hours in a tree then straight down and dragging my ass off getting whipped in the face by the brash!!! was all worth it at the end of the day tho with the results, plus got some top views of the osprays at rutland water, rutland!!!
