  10. still valid but updates are recommended and a lot of employers would still recognise then but a lot would want or need you to do some kind of update some do the lantra some do inhouse some just add next unit up ie if you had small felling then put you through medium:thumbup:
  11. been talk of ident been in for ages but where to put it has been discussed timber strengths for anchors timber characteristics for felling same for using saw up tree then obviously pruning and dismantling and timber weights and more so for me professionalism ie supprising how many folk have all the tickets and no idea on what any species are personally i would of liked to see some on felling then a few more on climbing and a few more on prunning and finish on dissmantling but glad something is in

  18. i am a loler guy and inspected spikes if presented just done an update and they should be inspected really more under PPE regs and obviously if they are really bad and did collapse or were not sharp enough they could result in a slip or drop ect but not a mega strict check but only makes sense really:thumbup:
  19. winches should be checked if used for lifting under loler winches should be checked if used for anything under PUWER and the easiest way is to inspect under loler

  23. no set time limit but you are expected to get on with it and be efficient how you get the line up is up to you you need to throw a knot at some point in the assessment and at least 4 changeovers but thats usually covered in the normal climb hope that helps
