  1. excesive oil /dirt (sap)penetration on trousers stops the blocking matterial working at all, all makes of trousers. trousers have to be machine wash and air dried ten times and still pass the cut test to be CE marked no trouser is designed to be tumbled dried

  4. i had rippa chipper,tow behind, in the late 80's, sold it by some aussie guy. cant remember what model it was, but like buzz say a bit of a beast with no saftey bars. instead of arbrex we used to use AVR650, which was a sprit based tar that you could spray on the flush cut wounds with a house hold plant sprayer:lol: did'nt work too well if the cuts were wet though and the sprayer were always blocked on a monday morning! i can remember going to re-top a poplar and putting my foot through the arbrex crust, of the the old cut, and nearly going down to my knee in the mush:thumbdown:

  8. FYI isa cert arb is level 2 but the knowlage level is 3, the reason for this is that the exam is multi-choice(no long questions)

  16. sure do nod, and we thought a blake with a prussic minder was sooo fast!! a lot of products were 'reinvented' in the USA and sold back to europe, at that time. not much testing then, just a great time to think out of the box. i think much of the work been done now is still 'just' refining the changes made then IMO
