  5. Hi all, Thought it might make it easier to make the entry forms etc available here with a one click, so you can get registered. It looks like a very good turnout, but until you all register etc., we don't know how many places will be available for students/college entries etc. Also need to know fairly quickly for catering and t shirts. So the sooner you register your place the better. You will need to go to the ISA website to pay for your place on line.Tree Climbing Competitions :: ISA UK&I Chapter The prize pool is looking good at close to £3000 in cash and vouchers with loads of goodies as well. Of course, the main prize is representing your country both in the European Team and at the Worlds in Oregon this year - no other event can offer that ! Have checked out the facilities at Shuttleworth for campers and there are toilets, and showers, but no electricity for hooking up camper vans. BBQ's 18" off the ground allowed, and you could have a fire in a 'pit' as long as that is 18" off the ground as well, but no fires on the ground. Click on the links and register, you can download the Equip Check List as well and complete it ready to bring with you for Gear check, open from Friday lunchtime until late, and for an hour on Saturday morning from 7.00 as we hope to start the comp at 9.00, so turning up at 9.00 it's doubtful that you will get in. who are you using for the arbtalk t-shirts? and would you be interested in doing some sponsorship on the shirts?

    cheers

  11. dont use gaffa tape to rap the sling as the glue can affect it. if you have some spare climbing rope cut a peice the lenght of the sling take the core out and thread it over, tape the ends to fraying, this will allow you to slide the cover back to inspect the sling and rotate it.
  12. I'll see if we can come up with somthing, if we have time
  13. get rid of the 10mm rock rope and buy a arborists rope
  14. talking of shirts, any preferance on colour this time, thinking of yellow so you can be seen!
  15. i think the shrinking wardrobe will stop me from wearing my very old ones:lol::lol:
  16. As alway, its the taking part and learning thats important at ISA tcc's, as many on here know, so hopefully we will see plenty of new faces, as well as the old (coming up to 20 years of comps in the UK:001_rolleyes:) here this year. There will be a novice category for first timers, but that wont stop you from winning with the top climbers get places at the european championship and world's, and a cash prize pool of over £3000 and plenty goodies for every one, it shaping up for a great weekend:thumbup:
  17. if you go to the isa web site you can enter online, to make sure of your place. it also helps with the catering if we have a good idea of numbers, as Climbers will get lunch and an evening meal (saturday) In the bar!!!
  18. you can follow the event on facebook UK tree climbing championship 2012 | Facebook
