  1. Spot on John - Thanks
  2. Depending on the level of tariff he is receiving, he is doing very very very well, very very well or very well. I plan to keep prices static for as many years as possible, even as roundwood prices creep up - making woodfuel a mainstream energy source, as affordable as possible for the masses. Economies of scale can make it possible. Those with woodburners seem to love them and really look forward to lighting them when the cold evenings arrive and/or rather than putting the heating on. For the majority who sell good quality fuel - No need for a career change just yet
  3. Thanks Jon. I want buy new with a warranty.
  4. The pump on the 35X is on its last legs. Any ideas where best to buy the 200 series pump you recommend - perhaps you could post a link? Much appreciated.
  5. Found some timber - then BT finally decide to excavate our access road to 'allegedly' improve communications !!!
  6. No. To buy the lot processed, collected from you in an 8 wheel bulker would be un-economic because of transport costs - unless you know otherwise?
  7. How many m3 don't mind processed ? - can't quite remember what a bulk 8 wheeler carries 14m3 heaped I recall. Haulage would make uneconomic as about £195 alone.
  8. I'll look forward to that - thanks. In the meantime who would you recommend I get a demo from on the T 480 ?
  9. As long as it takes to get to approx. 20%. We optimise drying conditions to achieve this. There have been many many posts on here on how to maximise the speed at which split logs will dry and if you put in the effort and investment the benefits are significant.
  10. Everyone is able to negotiate the price they pay for timber providing you are able to commit to multiple loads. For me that is more than I need to pay. Some people label timber processor size when in fact it is far from it. If I was a significant harvester I would be looking to give my customers what they need, not what I want to shift. All the rest can go for chip, We all need to stand together on this,
  11. Have you an 8 wheeler load of softwood roundwood - i'd be happy to have it (depending on species of course).
  12. Question is - having seen one in operation will you be buying one when you next change. ?
  13. Ooh sorry £ 17,500. If so that is less than a Posch 360 and will process 480mm (19") !!!
  14. There is a customer out there for every product they produce. Sort / grade / market your products accordingly and you will avoid disgruntled customers, driving customers to look elsewhere and gain many new.
  15. They told me only Petherton last week, i'll check. Thanks:thumbup1:
  16. Ah, good you're back. Do you know the price on the NEW T 480 and do you rate it? I only just spotted this new model this am and I'd appreciate your views.
  17. Expensive, but interesting. Is it Plantation do you know?
  18. It looks like they have been listening to the industry, as they have just brought out a Tajfun 480. Depending on price they may well sell a lot of these. ANYONE KNOW THE PRICE OF THIS NEW MODEL - Mortimore ? Don't bother with the 320 - too small for most roundwood if you buy it in. Mortimore on this Forum has a 400 Joy and loves it ! Perhaps PM him, he's always pleasewd to oblige.
  19. Ahh they have some at North Petherton, didn't think it was plantation Beech though? I'll ring Lisa and check. Thanks for reminding me
  20. Yes it is, however we can dry as required if needed, although the weather if favourable will do the job.
  21. If only I had known ! Small, medium, large matters not, providing promises are delivered. I will call them next week and have a conversation - having them on the database could be an asset by the sound of it. Recommendation goes a long way.
  22. These size machines will never be for us, too expensive. If Posch brought out a 450mm machine with circular saw blade for 25K we would all be buying one tomorrow - they would corner the market and make a LOT of money
