  1. Well I think I'm might be going for the makita or dewalt, will be looking at the makita on Friday and possibly dewalt if they have it in stock.
  2. I was just going to say the same as above, I'm the opposite the longer sleep I have the rougher I feel. If I have a broken sleep I wake up feeling great, strange but true. I have between 4 -5 hrs a night and a very very light sleeper.
  3. Sounds a beast of a machine, space is an issue for me too, plus portability to site.
  4. Anyway you can show me what you mean, I have been looking at the Dewalt 733 also the Makita 2012nb. I'll be doing guitar bodies which is just under 13"
  5. I'm looking for a thicknesser ideally 13", I can only find Metabo DH330 Thicknesser at that size anyone used Metabo tools before, what are they like?? Was also looking at a dewalt dw735 13" but not available in the UK and import taxes would kill it.

  8. Balls I say, make them out of laburnum and yew . I've sold them, loads of people sell them. I've drank out of a yew goblet for years and snort laburnum weekly and I'm still here.

  15. I know traditionally they use ash, poplar or alder for the body and maple and rosewood for the neck . But me being me wants to try something different, so the body will be yew. I'm still undecided what will go with it for the neck maybe something lighter in colour.

  17. Cheers, is the insert going down the back neck to get to the truss rod. Are all strats like that.
  18. A little bit of help please, whoever has a fender strat, could you please tell me let me know the thickness of the body please as there are a few variations. Also could I have a front/side and back view. Thanks in advance, Ian
