    Queen

There was quite a bit of turmoil on the Falcons' page yesterday regarding the choice that RFU made to stage matches today, general consensus seemed to be to keep calm and carry on. Close game mind.
  5. Glad you got it sorted. A mate of mine specialises in diesel engines and reckons it's far more important to work out why the DPF light is on than to force a regen, delete the codes, and hope for the best. Energy Bills

I have no idea, but they can find huge sums of money to fund wars etc., and have parliamentary privilege, so they could just make up their own laws if enough of them went along with it.

    Energy Bills

I'm not advocating nationalisation of our power supply in order to use those mega profits for good, but it sounds to me like a better plan than what is currently on offer. The numbers in the article suggest that we could do significantly more with the money we're going to 'lend' the power companies. Energy Nationalisation In The Spotlight As UK Power Prices Soar WWW.FORBES.COM Battered by towering energy costs, the United Kingdom is in an economic crisis. Soon, it will be in a humanitarian crisis too. Liz Truss 'to freeze gas and electricity bills' for households with £130bn loan package - Daily Record WWW.DAILYRECORD.CO.UK The new Prime Minister is set to reveal a plan for the government to set a “price guarantee” for bills as early as Wednesday, after being formally appointed by the Queen today.
  10. Do you think it's a bad thing for our "elected" politicians to be held to account - Liz Truss got 47% of the vote of the tory membership, that's not a lot of support in real terms. If you don't want the scrutiny then perhaps having a shady past where you'll say whatever makes you the most popular person in the room should render you incapable of being an MP.
  11. Aye, It's actually "who", I know that you don't get the nuance so go with the 'catch all', fair enough, I can't be arsed teaching English for free. Ha, Liz Truss, when she was a Lib Dem wanted to abolish the monarchy, I wonder if she mentioned that to her maj today. What made you think I wasn't a fan of the paedophiliac ridden family that are the royals?
  12. Like lying to the queen or breaking legislation during covid illegal? Or just historical illegality of the wrong kind?
  13. 'Private life' errors can and do affect the professional capacity of a person. I'm sure you know that. You're never going to be a deer stalker if you've been jailed for armed robbery.
  14. Ha, I hope she puts out a fitness blog.
  15. Admitting your mistakes and owning your own feck ups is, to my mind a show of strength of character; everyone makes mistakes. For me personally it's how someone deals with those mistakes and moves on that matters, everyone is different, but if it looks like an elected politician is a lying shitehawk or a commie spy, I'd like to know about it.
  16. I used to work in multimedia design when I was a youngen, moved into tree work 15 years ago. You bite onto loads of MSM articles and then claim you don't like the bait? I didn't say I'd disengaged, I just suggested that you might benefit from doing so.
  17. Perhaps if they are decent people they might have nothing to hide.
  18. Yup, I've seen and historically been involved in all that clatter. None of this is new to me and the patterns are predictable. It really isn't rocket science. Just disengage from it all, maybe read a book or something instead as it's not doing you any favours getting wound up over things you can't change on the internet etc. Have a laugh about it or submit to a life of misdirected rage.
  19. Ha ha ha. New 'Health' Secretary.
  20. Stop reading the MSM then, problem solved.
  21. I think scrutiny is quite an important thing though, people should, in my mind, be held accountable for their actions especially when they're supposed to be working for us. As for media intrusion, I suppose it depends on who the 'media' company is and whether or not things they are reporting are in the public interest. I couldn't give two hoots which MP is banging who, what, why, or where, I do genuinely feel though that MPs' half-truths and incompetence should reported on. I wouldn't employ an incompetent liar in my business, but then again, I didn't get where I am today.
  22. Good question and it's one I don't know the answer to. It's clear that the tories aren't up to the job, it doesn't look like the 'opposition' or much anyone else is up to it either. I don't think I'll be voting for anyone for the foreseeable future.
