  2. 1) Email and ring con artist and demand payment explaining you're happy to come over pick it up if balance isn't transferred today. 2) Get accountant/solicitor to send them a letter stating balance is due etc. c) If con artist is blanking you, then consider applying for one of the cutting roles, meeting them onsite and walking away with your £500.00.
  3. I'm in no hurry to rush back to how things were. When talking about the detrimental and very real effect of lockdown on peoples mental health, I think it's important to bare in mind that the previous setup was less than utopian.
  4. Led by the science: ‘40,000 excess deaths could have been avoided if government had acted responsibly’ – Prof Sir David King – Channel 4 News WWW.CHANNEL4.COM We speak to Sir David King - a former government Chief Scientific Adviser.
  5. While I think they've been disingenious in their behaviour, they're not the architects of our lockdown. Cummings helped craft these rules which have caused - rightly or wrongly - a fuck load of harm to the collective psyche of the populace. To then go against them with excuses that a child would struggle to quantify, makes mugs out of us all. Varadkar’s picnic took place in the EU. That's nothing to do with us.
  6. At the end of the day, 'Dom' took the entire country for mugs (unless you happen to buy his patter). He's earned his little bit of limelight.
  7. It's as if Donald Trump has discovered YouTube.
  8. He'll be out on his bike.
  9. Most local news is through 'Reach PLC', so you get whatever the party line is. BBC have suprised me by turning on the Government. Tony Blair was, and still is, a shitehawk. I think that the dynamics are different this time. They've given him a platform to (defend) himself. Thanks for pointing it out like that though. It's good to look at things from different angles.
  10. I wish I shared your optimism. When was the last time a 'SPAD' had the ears of the nation upon them from Downing Street's back yard?
  11. Aye, There was a bit in a podcast with Elon Musk, where Joe Rogan said something about robots having the capacity, in a decade or so, to move so quickly that you'd need a strobe light to see them. Elon Musk replied that we're 'probably' already there. Anyhow, this talk of tech is detracting from the shitshow that is Downing Street.
  12. My job as a tree surveyor is pretty safe from automation. I'm appreciative of the fact I learned how to use libraries when I was younger. A wide vocabulary is useless if you have nothing to say though. It's what you do with the information that counts.
  13. 25 years ago you probably didn't have a mobile phone. Now you have the knowledge of the planet at your fingertips. Moore's law appears to reflect reality.
  14. Tory front bench.
  15. Why not? The technology is just about there already.
  16. Eton isn't opening until September at the earliest. Perhaps they know something we don't.
  17. The current situation is clearly unsustainable. Most jobs will be automated in a decade or so. So if there's no work, what do we eat? Robots?
  18. I'd be a terrible politician. You could put your feet up with a UBI or you could graft on with something. It'd be nice for everyone to have the option.
  19. Is this just a thought you've had?
  20. You're looking well mate.
  21. For someone who is meant to be an expert in data modelling, he's certainly dropped a bollock.
  22. Edited upon his return from his eye test.
