  1. Hi Tockmal, to answer your questions. I believe that was most likely a Eucalyptus Blue Gum. We usually only deal with Pine, Euc and Cypress. There are alot better fells on the net. But thank you that's nice. That steel choker is just that. 35' by 2", unwieldy. When using only one, place the bell on your side and cut towards the crane. It was a fun job. Lot's of wood. Thanks for the interest, Cheers.
  2. You know it Steve, Anything for Arboriculture.
  3. Sure I'll give you guys the full monty: Presidio Montage Complete Box Set. All 4 vids for the price of none. The first. The Second. The Third. The Fourth. Here's a Crane job I helped My buddy on. He's climbing, I'm filming, I brushed it out and topped it a week before. I tried to embed them though it didn't work.
  4. Nice Fir removal Job too, By the way. Gotta love the self loader.
  5. I just don't think the price of a Silky is that much more long lasting than 2-3 Fanno's. I could be wrong. I have a silky at work and it's okay, It doesn't have a red cape or anything on it. Jeez did I say Corona, What a dolt. I've only used Fanno's, Gotta support Chico.
  6. Great Job Andy, I like seeing those kinda jobs..
  7. Does anyone know if the velcro actually wears out after time? That detered me from buying a pair not to mention the price. Though I love the fixed pad as it can't spin the shank around toward the rear of y0ur calf. If you can imagine.
  8. I like geckos, I've tried them. But those tiny points. But seriously, out here you need huge gaffs for Redwoods, Firs, Monterey pines etc. I think my gaffs are almost 4 inches long.
  9. Good to know, thanks. Or I guess, Cheers, is more apropriate.
  10. And as it looks I feel we could get pretty dang far. After the Ceremony and before the Conception.
  11. We're just playing with the idea of working our way around the world. She's an R.N. and Me as a freelancing climber, I think we could do it. I'm really just researching but I'm curious as to if I'd need any paperwork. I've got a Passport. I'm gunned up here with CDL A, ISA CA, Cert TW, CSLB etc, but it's american. I'm betting I would find more cash jobs than not. Just mulling things.
  12. I'm going on 5 yrs with just replacing filters, fuel lines and gaskets. A couple of chain brake covers they keep getting crashed.
  13. A little American v-8
  14. How does an american with no Euro certs work over seas? Especially the UK. I can hold my own with whoever and whatever. Would it just be under the table? i.e. Cash.

  17. I hate it but my girl's into it. I'm kidding it's a quick easy way to spend time together.
  18. I use it every now and again. Rarely do I need to get right to the top to begin work, unless a high hanger retrieval is in order. But I do enjoy it. I still need practice.
