  1. I've just been schooled that if you use a marl instead of a half hitch, if the limb breaks up, the marl won't roll out.
  2. Not always, mate.
  3. "Oregon Coffee Break?"
  4. I do it sans pulleys, and it's not "nonsense." I have no idea what your version is, but it's not the same as me. Throwlines? WTF?
  5. It works just fine (mostly) for roping out rotten leads/whatnot that might bust up when roped. God bless the half hitch!
  6. I hear ya... I hate doing that during winter. Here's a cool solution, maybe.
  7. Put a fan on to drown out the little rugrat.
  8. Squirrels will thank you!
  9. That kid was PISSED!
  10. Having to toss a perfectly good saddle just because it's over five years old is insane in the membrane. I expect to be in my Traverse for as long as I deem appropriate.
  11. What, no PPE?
  12. IE here, mate.
  13. Don't they have chiropractors on the island?
  14. You sound jealous.
  15. The hook doesn't "take" the load, it guides the rope.
  16. Not necessarily. Besides, most "bosses" and crew leaders were excellent groundmen first. I suggest printing the article and then customize it to suit your needs. Add/delete what you want, I don't mind. That article is for everyone to benefit from.
  17. Hahahaha! That's sounds funny! Beautiful critter!
  18. Thanks. Jerry Beranek is a great videologist!
  19. Thanks for the answer. People over here would break their necks staring at that thing. Has a chipper ever broken completely off the truck while going down the road?
  20. So do they hand crank down? Why aren't they needed when going down the road? If the chipper doesn't need them for that, why would they need them when chipping? I've always wondered about that unusual set-up. Has anyone ever took off driving when the legs were still down?
  21. What are (remember, we don't have ANYTHING like that over here) those three legs under the chipper?
  22. Hahaha! Whutta maroon!
  23. I cut one inch off the thumb and forefinger. Yes, gloves ARE safe - and even make you stronger.
  24. I wonder what happened to the pilot?
  25. Nice, big tree! I bet it was a blast to trim.
