  1. the leg loops are to solid on the skylotec for me, thinking it might have to be the sequioa. how durable is it
  2. not really much of a fan of the skylotec, to solid for me peter, whats the sequioa like, i was worried it would be similar to that hitec thing we tryed a while back
  3. hi everyone, im looking to buy a new harness, im not getting one to replace my treemotion but more for a change now and then. in my mind its between the tree flex and the petzl sequioa though im open to suggesttions, so opinions please people

  9. used srt to access the crown. this oak is part of an old plantation that im working my way through deadwooding and crown cleaning, theres some fantastic trees on this site and i feel very privaliged to be working on them and on a day rate as well:001_cool: apperances from will ayers whos been subbying to me and my brother david whos taken time out from his gardening round to help as groundsman

  13. poor picture qaulity again, but this is the reduction job that i did for special branch finished off
  14. been doing reductions the last couple of days with a silky and felcos, just interested to see who else uses secateurs in their reductions

  17. ive got a 390xp and its pretty good, before that i had a makita 7901 which was also good
  18. a few layers of danish oil will give a glossy look

  21. been deadwooding in an old oak plantation today, using srt to access the crown, a fellow arbtalker who has been subbying to me who shall remain namelesswill ayers got about 30ft off the floor suddenly remembered hed left his climbing line behind. i was less than pleased with the prospect of going down to retrive his line for him...then i remembered the trusty fig8 that i sent down to him. his only punishment being he had to climb back up again so whos forgotton what, be it climbing kit, keys or dare we say chipper
  22. what you want is a chain mortiser dean most of my apprentiship when i left school was oak framing, loved it and still do, il try and dig out the photos of the one i did last summer, though it was only softwood.
