  1. a mixed bag of things this last week. conifer hedge removal with all the toys, monterey pine removal with an 80 tonne crane and some tree planting. I didn’t spec or choose the trees but got subbed in with some plant to help with moving them off the lorries and putting them in the holes. rumour has it that the pine was 35k. It weighed about 8 tonne so was a fair lump. IMG_1233.MOV IMG_1267.MOV IMG_1239.MOV FullSizeRender.MOV
  2. great jacket. genuinely keeps you dry in the shitest of weather
  3. another “hedge” to reduce, about 7m off the top of this one. had about 50 cube of chip off this one in 2.5 days. then a little job chipping up for a mate who decked some conifers with his tree shear. think we left with about 45 cube from that one which is one and a half of the green bailey trailer IMG_1189.MOV IMG_1180.MOV
  4. All i seem to be doing is roto jobs at the moment. all the toys onsite to top an overgrown hedge by 50%. 30 cube of chip by lunch and not a single tree climbed or branch dragged. tidy it up tomorrow from the cherry picker. don’t know how i do it for the money IMG_1162.MOV IMG_1165.MOV IMG_1163.MOV
  5. been on back to back roto jobs for the last week so here’s a few pics and videos from the jobs IMG_1106.MOV IMG_1112.MOV
  6. yeah a group of us are headed up from the new forest
  7. not really, everything that side of the path was finished so just clearing back to the path. less blowing then needed when everything else is finished. i took that video at 15.09 and we were done with timber loaded, chipped up and final tidy by 16.30. id rather people were doing things than standing idle

  9. because it’s a forest tree
  10. 51 actually
  11. I learnt that word from you eggs
  12. Evidently i do forget a face otherwise i’d probably have thought “there’s that prick from arbtalk” as you dove past. This has turned into our own little thread, hope your enjoying it as much as I am
  13. ahh the plot thickens…. are you sure it wasn’t another fat bloke?
  14. that’s not very nice eggs. Thankfully I was aware that i was getting fat as i wasn’t really climbing any more so made the effort to get off my lardy arse and change my diet, start swimming and working out again. Not only do i feel great physically it’s done wonders for my mental health. maybe some exercise and a lifestyle change would help you?
  15. less of the fat, i’ve lost two stone
  16. Nice to know your thinking of me eggs. What's it like having me living rent free in your head?
  17. kinda, the local tractor fitters (20 mins away) have got quite a comprehensive range of stuff so occasionally il pop down and get an odd fitting to make up a hose if i haven’t got one in stock and usually get half a dozen so i’ve got them if it goes again in the future. i’ve resorted to cutting fittings out of old hoses to get myself out of the shit as well but it’s a pain to do and a don’t like doing it. obviously you’ve got to outlay on the machine and all the hose and fittings but once your up and running the cost of making a hose with two fittings and 1m long comes in at about £7.50
  18. I think if you run kit you have to end up being handy on the spanners. Id never be able to afford to get someone out to do everything. Last year I bought a swage machine and loads of hydraulic pipes and fittings so now we do all our own pipes, the time saving is massive.
  19. nice of you to join me on the “list” of people that have annoyed him on the internet
  20. careful he’ll get angry again
  21. i know 🤣
  22. Most of my machines have their own grease gun which goes out with the machine, just buy whatever cheap one the local ag place has in stock at the time. Got a Milwaukee battery one when doing machines in the yard, but as with all things they have a time and place
  23. Calm down eggs. The last thing you need is to have a funny turn, because a man on the internet made you more angry about something you were already really furious about.
  24. ohh dear eggs, your really bent out of shape about the whole carparking thing arnt you. why not go and park up in a lay-by instead of getting all annoyed that a charity wanted to charge you to use their car park.
  25. ahh love you to 😘
