  1. yeah i highly recomend the stretch airs.had a pair when they were red and they just fell apart.after that i moved over to the hiflexs but after my last pair only lasted five months and a conversation with nod im back on the stretchairs, great trouser very comfortable and durable. thumbs up from me

  6. everybody has the basic guidelines of what needs to be earnt, or what they want to earn in the day.theres so many factors to consider.its all about getting a feel for it
  7. i climb on marlow chameleon with the herkules (from proclimber)10 mm hitchcord with 4 wraps and 2 braids.it self tends after about 30 ft

  10. yeah i was bricking it,first to admit it.the reason the tree was coming down was that it was sheding limbs.parts of it were unclimbable and unfortunately all of these sections needed to be rigged down to avoid demolishing the shed ,fence, pristine hedge and garage underneath it
  11. i hate to think the extra weight added by ivy sometimes,last ivy removeal job was nearly a full truck load of chippings.not good
  12. max has hit the nail right on the head,from the ground the structural problems of this tree of this tree could not be seen,ok there was a bit if dead wood, but no more than would be expected from a tree that had been previously cut so badly.
  13. its a beast about 3 and a half foot at the base
  14. all the stems bar part of1 were very soft,also 95% needed to be rigged down to avoid the garage fence shed and hedge below
  15. there was lots of disscussion about how to deal with it,i wasnt convinced about the safety of it and thought we should get a platform in.rob came up after lunchtime and decided to take it on minuss platform
  16. horrible rotten ivy coverd oak tree that me and rob d started the other day,we are back to fell he stem friday so il get some more pics then
  17. am i right in thinking that this is the same tree posted in an earlier thread? if so i think this was the right thing to do.these methods need to be tried and experimented with.good move in my opinion

  20. reg isc sent us severall things to try out including that krab swivell combo you have on your lanyard,id be intressed to here your opinions on it. also does yours not have any ratings on it cheers john

  22. deadwooding a big oak so a group could build a massive tree house in it for the local kiddies,only thing is they built the thing before realising there was three 15 to 20 ft peices of solid dead wood in it
