  1. Are you serious? have you ever owned a Landy? Matt loves them , I hate the out of date looking, bone shakers, orrr orrible things orrible I say, I bought a new one a few years ago, never again, I had to wear wet weather gear most mornings just to get into it, bloody things leak like a siv! What is the attraction to landrovers? Jap 4x4 trucks I say, Jap!

  3. Good Idea, just don't get carried away loading your truck up , with helper springs on etc, my mate did a similer thing to a lorry and snapped his axel studs
  4. You can't compare proper brand named tractors price wise , against chinese cr@p
  5. Haha thanks mate , haven't you spotted the spelling error
  6. I bet most 3.5 ton truck owners are over loaded by about a ton most days, i'm sorry to say, and that means a big fine if your caught, just ask Steve Bullman about being over loaded. I have been 2.5 ton over in my little isuzu 3.5 tonner,
  7. 250-300kg
  8. no lettering on my pathfinder, to have a lorry you need an operators licence and operating centre, both of which I have, as for getting much work from signs, it just makes you look more proffesional, it doesn't bring in much work imo
  9. Never had a parking problem yet mate

  18. Come on guys dig deep , lets see if we can get this raffle up to a £1000, i'm as tight as a frogs arse , but even I bought £20 quids worth.. Great prizes and a worthy charity imo
  19. No not a chance, just like you can't be an AA approved, woodland worker, or tree health care specialist etc etc
  20. Seems daft to me that you can't be an approved consultant as well as contractor.
  21. Ed did your father have something to do with setting up the AA approved contactors scheme? I seem to recall it being mentioned in the past? If you think the AA approved contractors scheme is so good [the impression I get from reading your views on the subject] how comes your not approved? Being a small contractor, i'd have thought you would have been opposed to more division and elitism within the industry, its hard a hard enough market now , we small contractors don't need more hurdles do we?
  22. Like yorkshireman says, if a civil servent, sends in a press release ''That would be an abuse of position by a public servant imo tant amount to pre selection'' I cant for the life of me, understant why you don't come up with your own criteria? I'll be honest your select list of tree firms offends me to the pit, most firms aren't AA approved, or ISA certificated etc etc yet we are deemed thanks to your listing now as, for want of a better word cowboys! thats what your select list looks like to me!
  23. go on hear and see what they have to say about them http://www.tractorbynet.com I bet you won't buy one after reading I'd say Logs client has a mahindra, another POS imo
  24. I know you council guys consider it work, but us self employed types don't class sitting in the cab drinking tea work! we've all seen you council boys parked up in a layby, flasks steaming up the windscreen, scoffing sarnies and reading the paper.....
  25. Could you elaborate mate...
