  1. Nod sent me a Hitchclimber as a prize and it's far superior than a normal micro pulley set up, you will not regret buying one.

  9. I had the same problem with XTC, it would twist up terribly, I would have to lay the rope out and twist it back along the whole length of the rope but this would only work for a climb or two then it would just twist up again. Shame, I like XTC.
  10. Maybe I should shut a few windows?
  11. My December combined electricity and heating bill 143 quid, the combined electricity and heating bill for this March, 406 quid. Somebody, somewhere is taking the piss.
  12. Here are some pics my good mate Pete has just sent me, I thought I would share with you. Pete was a Brit, an excellent tree climber and somebody I learned a lot from back in the day. He has lived and worked in Oz for around twelve years, he still does a little tree climbing but also does this kind of work which he says, pays very well. Pete's the one with the orange helmet and beaming Hollywood smile.

  14. So very true Nod, great to talk to Hugh,( Is that his name?) and watch him splice and I don't blame him for not wanting to put a eye splice in my old rope at the show. Splice construction was not even covered on my loler course.
