Dammit! My pm is not telling me I had a reply, yes splicing the double braid has got me hooked, 16 strand next, I have started but have been waiting to get a wire coat hanger to make a fid as the one I made was crap, way to soft and bendy. It's been hard as hell to obtain a wire coat hanger.
Hopefully I will be going on one of Nods courses in Feb to learn more, have you ever considered doing a course to instruct? I only ask as you live close and make splicing look like a piece of piss.

Do you think I should turn the last few pics in general pics the right way up?

Hello mate do you have any plans on getting Donaghys to send over some reels of rope?

Hello Jamie, I am struggling with the 16 strand eye splice, I made a wire fid but it's not very good, what do you use? I can't believe how much rope it takes to make a 16 strand eye splice. Regards, Carl.

Hello Mate, I trust you had a good time?
I got a large dead Redwood to remove in Feb, one day normal rigging for the branches then a crane next day for the stem, have sent Reg a PM asking for tips, should be fun, four hundred and fifty quid for myself.

Hello Reg, I have a large dead redwood removal in February, rigging the limbs out in the normal way then using a crane for the stem, I have only done two removals with a crane before and am a little rusty, chain positioning will be crucial and was wondering if you had any tips?

I went to Jimmy greens about a year ago and bought a universal fid and a fid for three strand which I have been doing since being taught at college, my mother lives close to beer so next time I go I will have a rummage.
By the way where can I find instructions for Yale xtc eye splice?

Hello Jamie, I got some stuff from Jimmy Greens and thanks to you and Nick posting on the house I now know to stitch the cross over point which makes one hell of a difference, also massaging and bending, I made a splice this afternoon with none of the problems I have been having.
What tips for making an eye to eye prussic cord?
Cheers, Carl.
