  1. What a great idea for a day of fun! I'm loving this idea
  2. then where are you going to run? If this is the safest country in the world (my opinion) everywhere else is less safe and more corrupt. You are trapped, surrounded by water, nowhere to run to and nowhere to hide...Big Brother is watching you and you can do nothing about it. Of course, you could rebel, but then They already know you will, and They know where you are, and They can get you anytime They want. Good job you don't have any identifiable marks or tattoos adorning your skin, They have those recorded you know.
  3. That's the spirit!
  4. I really think some people worry too much. We have one of the finest systems in the world, if you fall on hard times the State supports you, if you fall ill the State will treat you, and you even have one of the free-est countries to voice your concerns, however radical. Thank your lucky stars to be born British
  5. Seems some are naturals, the 2nd day, the chap running the bar popped over and had his go, top scored with 20 and held the lead all day, others could only dream.....
  6. If you get consistent 25s you'll be in with a chance
  7. OMG I was barking up the wrong tree, are they seriously going to chip dangerous dogs? Which chipper is best for that then?
  8. yeah but it turned out it wasn't round, and that was wrong all along, everyone knows it's flat, and just a conspiracy theory. And the moon landing never happened.... Come on Cerne, leave the drinks alone now
  9. Hmmmm I'm guessing the weekends beers have kicked in Cerne.
  10. Nice one Charlie, proper result, and welcome to the forum, hope you'll stick around keep posting, be good to see how your career progresses.
  11. I'm guessing I'll probably be there, with the Arbtalk Roadshow
  12. Such a shame, for several years this was probably my favourite in the calendar, small relaxed and friendly, with enough to just keep things bubbling along. Oh well
  13. 100% agree Justin
  14. Rob, I have both apps on the iPad, (as demoed at Capel) and believe me it looks very good on there. No stretching at all
  15. Show was a lot smaller than last year, different area and split in two by a hedge (organisers take note....crap idea that!!) it's the Celebration of Trees and the Countryside, well put it back where the decent trees are, and it's hardly in the countryside!! Rubbish bins... Not enough! catering...adequate. For a 10th anniversary event you could have made more effort to make this a better show. Oh well, opportunity missed. Trade stands seemed to be down on the last few years, sign of the times? Plus points... Good effort from all the Arbtalk posse, thanks for your generous participation in the axe throwing, the Children's Trust always appreciate your generosity hope I didn't bore too many with the App sales pitch, but a mans gotta eat you know and Steve is a hard task master Good to see you all, old faces and new ones, hopefully we gain a few new members for the Arbtalk crowd for the future. see you soon at the next shows throughout the year
  16. Thanks for everyone who came forward to listen to my waffle.... I mean sales pitch. Hope it helped people to see it "in the flesh" on the iPad before committing to buy.
  17. Downloaded both apps to the iPad, tree work is now firmly in the 21st century with these. what I like about these apps is the fact that they are specific to our industry, rather than a general info kind of app that doesn't really cover what we need. Good work Steve, worth the wait
  18. Free speech, can't be having that! whatever next
  19. This is the trouble with mankind in general, not just the Internet and not just Arbtalk. We do try and keep it to a sensible level here wherever possible, unfortunately some slip beneath the radar. If you do have an issue, please report the offending post to the Admin staff and well try to resolve it.
  20. Bought and sold on an 090AV last year for £75 to a mate, c/w 3foot bar. Though I did already have an earlier 090 that cost me a bit more. One can't have too many 090s you know
  21. No we slag off everyone, it is the British way don't you know old chap
  22. Nice one Button, now keep out!! And if I were you I'd keep the bit about hoovering and stuff quiet from the missus, be making a rod for your own back there good to talk earlier, glad your doing ok, and all the best for you and your family.
  23. I have a Black & Decker leccy saw
  24. If you're coming either days make sure you pop over and say hi, I'll either be at the Arbtalk stand, the burger stall or the bar! Wet weather??? Who cares!
