  5. its a continuous job at this particular estate of felling beech and replanting....and always will be...they dont waste time with any other methods.

  10. nah that was beyong spalted mate. in my experience its wood decayed by ustuline that is generally spalted most. dont know if thats just conincidence?

  14. any file is fine, so long as its the right guage
  15. a tiny bit of grit on the very last piece you cut the time before is enough to dull the saw enough mate
  16. looks similar to the treequip helmet. too heavy and cumbersome for my liking
  17. not being funny, but it sounds to me like its just blunt! those small saws are ok, but the chains have to be kept very sharp as the engines are jus too small to power the chain through wood otherwise. even a very slightly dull chain will more than likely give the symptoms you described. how are the revs sounding when you rev it up(not in wood)?
