  1. Seems to work fine, just sent you email back
  2. If you want to send me over a template I will test
  3. Is yours an older imac? I believe the newer ones you can just plug extra monitors straight into the unit. I have 3 monitors but I have a mac pro and had to purchase an extra graphics card for the job
  4. I spent about 15 years with pc's before moving over to a Mac. Took me all of a day to get used to the Mac, its that intuitive. Like Rich says, picking up a pc these days is a horrible experience. I do have a windows laptop which I use for Picus testing and hate it. Soon as I get back to the office I export the picus file over to my mac to finish off the reports with. I don't think you have much to be concerned about. like has been said, office 365 is available for Mac, I have a version on the laptop. I don't see any reason why the templates you have won't be able to me moved over.
  5. never really understood this. If a piece is big enough to warrant a hinge in it i'd be using a chainsaw just about every time.
  6. I climbed this way for about 6 years till I suddenly realised the blindingly obvious solution ?
  7. If I HAD to climb again (life and death situation) id he carrying my zubat330 in a Sawpod

wrong section, you need to add your site here https://arbtalk.co.uk/recycling
  9. I'd have had a few choice words to say to whoever was on the ground. Absolute idiots
  10. You may be better off asking on an American forum for more local knowledge, as this is a UK based site. Arboristsite.com ARBORISTSITE.COM Arboristsite.com is the largest Arborist, Chainsaw and firewood processing site on the internet. This is the American equivalent to Arbtalk. having said that, I believe it might be thuja plicata
  11. Brilliant Simon
  12. I said ‘actively’
  13. Almost reminds me of what someone said on Facebook the other day, ‘if you’re not actively anti racist then you’re a racist’ one of many such ridiculous things I’ve seen spouted
  14. Maybe, if it were me beside a dozen angry guys like that I’d keep my opinion to myself, I have no desire to become a statistic. If that makes me compliant then oh well. There’s better ways to get your message across.
  15. Or it could just mean he has no desire to get into it with a bunch of hooligans looking for a rukkus.
  16. Used all sorts over the years but I settled with Wolf. Nice and light, cheap to replace, and loads of attachments
  17. For Kent-based arb contractors The Living Forest, the quality of the customer service they receive from suppliers is just as important as the quality of the machinery itself. And that’s why, when it comes to their choice of wood chipper, it’s GreenMech that wins the day. With three tracked and trailed machines currently on the fleet, their reliability - coupled with the back-up support received - sees further investment on the horizon. Operations Director Michael Lott purchased his first GreenMech chipper, a 16-23 trailed, 12 years ago. “From the very first contact we had with GreenMech, the approach was different – they let the machine do the talking and were invested in finding what was a perfect fit for us, not just what they wanted to sell.” With the 16-23 still out every day, tackling a mixture of domestic and commercial jobs, Michael added a sub-750kg Arborist 150 to the fleet three years ago, followed by a 16-23 SAFE-Trak model last year, supplied by David Guy at local dealer Burden Bros Agri Ltd. “These machines just don’t miss a beat. The nature of the work puts terrific amounts of stress on the inner mechanics but the GreenMech chippers are built to handle whatever is thrown at them. The Disc-Blade chipping technology for example means that if we’re on-site and debris or stones get fed through accidently, you can simply turn the blades to the next sharp edge and you’re up and running again.” Michael also purchased the dedicated sharpening unit, reducing the cost and downtime associated with getting blades re-sharpened. As with any large investment, chippers need to be running at full capacity to maximise their return, and not spend costly time side-lined waiting for spares or repairs. “With other chipper manufacturers we’ve sometimes had a three week wait for an engineer visit. On one occasion where we needed a replacement bolt for our 16-23 unit, one call to GreenMech and it arrived the very next day – we couldn’t believe it! Having them on the end of the phone and knowing that any queries can be answered so quickly makes it feel like we’ve got an extra man on our team – and that’s invaluable.”
  18. manual or battery/petrol?
  19. Welcome back. I thought I had covered most bases, even for our American cousins. Not sure why it wasn't working for you though. Perhaps I should add battery and electricity in this day and age ?
  20. Do is a favour and post a photo of one of your chains freshly sharpened, from a couple of different angles, and preferably about 2/3rds worn
