  1. ive just added a weather module on the new homepage.....could some of you help test its working properly. you need to click on the link on the module to change your local settings. thanks
  2. yeah ive used similar before to dig out stumps, its probably better than nothing, it wont pull therm right out but will certainly help lever them over so you can axe the roots easier

  5. this is a good point, also something else ive recently considered is once you've done and move on to the other side your file is that bit duller.....over the life of a whole chain that will make a difference too...thats just nit picking though, but perhaps alternate which side you start sharpening first
  6. i'd be more worried about it taking my saw as it fell....i would bring my saw out in this situation and feather the last bit of the cut with the tip.

  12. for starters, how wides the road? some of those mewps legs stick out a mile. any reason they cant be climbed?
  13. cheers tim. well you saw the base of the trunk. basically the guy is pushing 90, loves the tree and wanted it to outlive him. they guy i subbed to i believe quoted for a 20% reduction. i think i went nearer 10%. everyone was happy. in relality it probably didnt make any difference to the trees lifespan mind. and no idea about the tyres!

  16. few more....note the mobile incinerator this company uses sometimes...its surprisingly efficient when it gets going
