Piranha/Rotatech chain??

Some of you must have used Piranha/Rotatech chain saw chains for a while,what do you think of them. Sorry to say, but the video comparison is meaningless to me, as I am a 65 yr old sceptic.

I use them on the railway and they've impressed me. To the fact that I've put a 14" piranha bar and chain on my 181 (£15) and just brought two 18" chains for £24.something for the pair.

I was somewhat bemused and disappointed with the result after receiving a cold call offering these chains to me. In actual fact the saleswoman made it sound like she was sending me a sample. When she asked for my payment card I stalled and told her I would have to get back to her as I didn't have it on me at the time.

Lo and behold despite her offering "free delivery", when I checked their Fleabay site I could buy the same two chains £4 cheaper and yes you guessed it..... they came with free postage as well.

 

Not impressed!

 

This may or may not be the same supplier as you have used.

I had the same lady call me a while back, I ordered two loops to see what their like before considering a reel.

A week or two later they finally turned up. I've just put the first loop on a 200T this morning to dice up a dense conifer hedge - seems good so far but we'll see.

Thanks for starting the thread. I hope you find the reviews helpful. I understand you scepticism. It is something I respect; I attend Skpetics events, I am that much of a sceptic.
