Stihl 090 AV. What's it worth.

As title. Toying with the idea of selling my 090 av. In decent condition with 3ft hard nosed bar. Struggling to define a reasonable price point. Any ideas? Few 070s for sale but they're not directly comparable.

Hi , if you are up for a swap, I would swap you a nice spalted beech table or an oak bench for it could do with another big saw but it just cost me loads to M O T my van , so quite skint so if you dont ask you dont get

There is quite a range. The AV model is slightly more desirable but the main use is milling so the bar is not going to add anything. I have seen them make silly money on Ebay, but then who knows whether the deal was completed. I also bought one on Ebay for £330, in perfect working order (which then got stolen).

 

Given that the bar doesn't add much, I would reckon a reasonable range would be £450-500, depending on relative interest from seller/buyer.

I bought mine fir 650,- thought it was quote a good deal. It did come with a 60 inch bar And a 404 chain.

It would probably fetch most on eBay. If it's in good condition it might make 800,-

I would say yours was a good deal if the bar and chain are not heavily used. The cheapest bar of that length is £264 and the chain would be over £50, both + VAT.

Yep mine was used maybe a dozen time... mint condition.
