I would pull the tank and give it a sound thumping with a rubber hammer. Its likely rusty and what you dislodge now, won't end up in the filter/across the intake pipe.

Flush it after the thumping and have a look at the pre filter on the intake too.

£70 odd worth . Is that over the top Jon ?

Way over.

Application?

Whole bottle for clean-up; ott for regular use. I used to keep a bottle of it if I got caught short and had to grab some supermarket derv

One bottle treats 100 gallons / 454 litres!

There are ~1cm markings / graduations on the bottle; one of them per tankful is fine.

tipped a bottle of red line into a 5l can of diesel and started pumping that through her, think that helped as what's coming out the injector pipes is almost clean diesel, i'll fill the can with straight diesel and run some of that through it to flush out the red line. ordered some copper injector seals so when they arrive i'll stick the injectors back in and see if she starts. Now the rear tub is removed I can see a hole in the top of the tank right below the gap between the cab and rear tub, rest of the tank looks good, just this one bit where dirt was lying and holding moisture against the tank. tank needs to come out anyway so i'll get it blasted and if the rest of its good then i'll flush it out and braise the hole.

Are you doing the little bottles or the 5 litre ones?

I use the little bottle every 3 or so tanks (when I remember usually). Cleaned up the dirty only ever used in the city TDDI transit we recently bought.
