Strimmer blade direction help please

Would like some advice please. I am changing the blade on my strimmer to a mulching blade. I understand that the arrows and the text on any blade should face upward. Am I correct.

In anothe forum I read that the bend edges should face the floor. I am confused.

This is how I fired it.

Fins down so they mash up what's on the ground. It's been a while since I used one but you might need a different guard too.

Thanks. Yes just tried it and it is nice. Guard is fine just in picture it looked smaller.

Super! As long as you're happy use whatever guard you like. I always over egged the visor, helmet, glasses, buff, overalls, gloves etc just in case of dog eggs.

All needed equipment when using the airecut blade, it's a great blade but it flings the shi! Everywhere

The large domed washer on the far left in the photo should also be used with the blade

Strimmers spin anti-clockwise.

 

So if I'm seeing the photo right, I can see the chamfered edges facing upwards, so as said then, the blade should be flipped over.

 

But I've NEVER seem a blade like that anyway!

 

Do you have to be 'brave' to use a blade like that, that also has 'wings'..?

That blade is upside down. We use them all the time. I'm afraid they work much better without the guard but you need helmet visor and if poss glasses too. If it's not too hot felling pants stop the stones bruising your legs.
