I'm afraid I have to agree with you Dave, there are many Mewp usage pics I have seen and while we're on the subject, crane usage pics where I have thought the same.

Why ??

Never! Cranes are a totally different ballgame to mewp. I've done jobs with a crane in 4 hours that would take you a week without. You would never see that kind of efficiency made up with a MEWP.

As always these are only my opinions, I really do believe people have the right to get the job done in what ever way they feel is best for THEM

What I mean Ed is I've seen some crane jobs that really didn't warrant a crane, they could have done quite quickly with a big brash mat and crash bang wallop :001_rolleyes:

Is this aimed at me :blushing:

i love a big brash mat, hell even a dumpy bag full of other dumpy bags can save a lot of damage and lowering, i have never lowered a stem in my life, far to time consuming i think, then you have to try and cut it up on the deck in a tight place. block it down, aim the sawdust into the nieghbours bushes, cut without the risk of hitting slabs or stuff and let the boys carry out the logs, by the time i am down it is all done.
