That's a good point it also depends on what your climbing with , found the neck T great with the rope wrench which is why I stuck with the combo but hopeless with the HH as its a heavy and not much cop with the BB either they definitely need a chest loop/harness imo , hopefully the akimbo is lighter :)

Does anyone here use a SRT set up like this:

Rope comes down from tie in into

-a descender device (RIG or whatever)

-back up and over a pulley

-which is attached to a hand ascender.

This is what I have put together, first proper use at work this afternoon. Pull the tail and it advances the descender which then captures progress, then advance the hand ascender and repeat. When the tie in point is reached, leave the hand ascender just under the tie in and work position using the descender, while keeping the tail on you, through a harness point or whatever. Sorry if its a tangent, just ignore...Im just pumped to be climbing.

What chest harness are you using and what friction device?

Thanks.

I used to just use a sling but I got fat and it didn't fit comfortably anymore, I use an Elliot Street chest harness and it's alright, I like the way it adjust.

I'm a hitch man so Rope Wrench with hitch climber using split tether.
