I need to improve the air filtration on my 62cc Timberpro Chilling saw (Chinese Milling ). the picture shows the stock filter which is far from ideal. I don't know if any major manufacturers filters would fit, or what can I do to help stop the fast clogging and carb choking dust build up. I have thought about replacing the gauze with foam / oil, but what do you suggest?

Cut the foot out you missus' tights and wrap it round.

She is only into "hold ups" :thumbup1: but me dear old Ma has some 1000 denier tights with a cork lined gusset.... Will give them a try:blushing:

If your milling I would expect to clean the filter a lot more any way .. I would possibly do mine 2-3 times a day if going flat out.

Ok perhaps I am not too far out then, as fairly new to having my saw and nose close to the ground the filter was getting full fairly quick, but no more than you describe. CHEERS:001_cool:

I was just concerned the original was not best protecting the carb and if anything could be done to improve it. Spares not an issue just protecting my huge investment lol

Do you raise the timber you are milling a bit to keep the engine unit out of the dust.

Been on my knees:blushing: Think it's time to raise it a bit......
