He doesn't understand it Mark, that a transition to renewables is not an on-off switch but a gradual change over and as the oil runs in our lifetimes we will be able to continue as we were. So every day when we use more oil that renewables he will be there demonstrating his ignorance. Just short of 50% of our electricity used last year we generated by renewable energy, with near 100 hours (4 days) that we ran only on renewable energy. A fact he never mentions for a comparison.

Oil running out in our lifetime 😂😂😂👍not that old chestnut

4days 🤪that leaves how many for the rest of the year  you fool ?? if it’s so wonderful can you explain why our electricity is so ****************ing expensive??

If we need oil then let’s extract it ourself 🤷‍♂️even a total leftard can surely grasp that logic.
What industry do you work in SP/TA ??, diving support for the oil and gas and renewables I take it like I do 🤔 You do realise I was on the job at Blyth when the first ones were put in, and have been involved in the sub sea side of it ever since, excuse my ignorance 😂

PS

You any idea how much oil is used in a turbine??

Few questions there which I know you don’t cope with very well but give it a whirl eh.
Google will be your saviour

Breezy around the E and SE coast. Plenty of turbines there.

You needed worry about it anymore, the golden hate goblin has pretty much put the nail in the coffin for a future where people don't rely on oil.

TDS 😞

Nuclear Mark all the way to provide the reliable base load capacity. Just not French owned rather it should be built owned and run by the state for the benefit of the people.
We all rely on oil now ( even the tit SP/TA his train doesn’t run on fairy dust ) and will for years to come, so let’s extract it ourselves. Ignore the earnings of the anonymous fool, it will be there when all of us are gone, one way or another.

Depends on the angle you see, to me it looks like she wasn't aiming at anyone. Waved a car to pass her then went to follow it. If she was aiming she would have gone straight ahead rather than turning. The ICE agent was drawing his gun before she had started to move forward and before the other had reached in to try to stop her.

Weapons handling and tactics expert now too 😞

The White House says the decision was taken because those entities "no longer serve American interests".

So The Donald is now trying to get his sticky fingers on Greenland. No mention of drugs yet; so it seems he only wants it in order to get access to it's raw materials, trade routes and strategic location. All of which are only now starting to become available due to the Climate Breakdown that he so fervently denies. Ironic.

Maybe the "Orange menace" future Dictator wants to clean it all up.

After, you know, US Army lost a nuke in Greenland and after looking for the damn thing A WHILE they just said:

"Fck it! let's forget about it!

After all it's not like the last time we lost THE OTHER NUKE in Spain...

Who lives in this frozen sht shole anyway?!"

By the way: widespread nuclear contamination IS present even today in Greenland!

And it was "just one" out of about 1000 nuclear accidents(blundering US army "smart men"...)

Truth be told: US economy is going down.

And it takes the US Dollar $ with it...

I'm not giving up burning heating  oil ,bituminous coal or natural gas/LPG.

I love my Shmel 2 gasoline cooker.

🙄😁

@Johnsond  In a turbine? If it's a more recent helicopter turbine ,about 90 liters of jet fuel per hour.

Varies with load and atmospheric conditions...

I don't know for sure of any other turbine consumptions...

But for helicopters I know for sure! (military guy/neighbour...).

And when take-off ,you'll feel the jet engines from an F-15 in your belly/stomac if close to the runway!

Hearing protection is a must!

@Johnsond  In USA cops or other "law enforcing dudes" will shoot you in no time if you don't do exactly as they say.

I would do the same: everyone has a loaded gun.

And ain't "shy " of using it...

Better him dead ,than me 😁

p.s. as for the 37 year old woman. she definitely farted. 😄

Scared the cops...

Is it 3,000,000 litres? The amount of oil that the wind turbine replaces in the electricity generation system over its life?

I remember being told as a kid at school that we'd run out of oil and coal by 2000.  That was all they were harping on about, running out.  Then when that deadline came and went and we had more than ever before they start going on about the emissions crap.  When they find that's half fabricated it'll be something else.

if it's a wind turbine ,those are in trouble...

Not making money, (negative prices because of too much renewable power and no storage).

And since we're in Capitalism...

If the bussines ain't making money/profit,  you're in trouble...

Everything else is "peanuts"....
