and the more you click on a type of news story, the more of similar types of news stories gets delivered to you. So for example, click on a negative news story about an immigrant, there is a good chance that the next similar story will be shown to you also. And so it spirals into a pit of despair. It is easy to see how they get suckered into believing the world is a bad place.
